My tinnitus isn't so terrible now, I can barely notice it when theres white noise(which there always is in my house), but I'm worried it will get worse the more my hearing degrades.

I also want to put that I am hoh, but I have hearing loss and ASL is not my first language. I want to learn as much as I can.

I'm looking to practise my asl. I'm a little rusty from not being around deaf and hoh people for a few years and I need to practise for my job. I'm willing to use FaceTime, Skype, Glide and Discord for anyone who has one or doesn't mind making an account for it.

I've always felt isolated, especially in very public areas just because I feel like I'm not on the same level as everyone. When I'm in a loud place where I can barely discern other peoples voices I get very shy and quiet because I feel like I can't talk to anyone properly.

Not to mention, I've been using my phone on speaker for a very long time to answer phone calls so I can hear it better, and I wasn't aware my hearing has degraded enough that I can't answer the phone like normal.

I didn't mean to make it seem like I did know, sorry. But truly I didn't. I work at gamestop and we get a lot of calls from customers asking about games and it happens pretty often.

I did the research on all the different types of hearing aids and you're suggestion was perfect. I have a lot of clogging in my ears so any other hearing aid would probably get clogged in the speaker.

Usually hard of hearing people can't really control the way their voice is with a 'deaf accent', I could imagine that someone would try and speak more clearly around a hearing person though.
