I use a "bottle" type one. It is a plastic container with a pad at the bottom to absorb the moisture. I get it at Walgreens for about $7 with tax. It's labeled Hearing Aid DeHumidifier. You only have to replace it every 6 months. Works great for me. I see the moisture in my tubes before I put...
Yeah, it's like what Alicia posted. It has an area missing from it to make it a bit more comfortable to wear, but has all of the necessary parts to hold the aid in place and do what a mold is supposed to do.
I wear TransEar aids. I'm deaf in my left ear and have mild hearing loss in my right...
I'm very sorry. I hope your surgery goes well and that your CI helps you :-)
I am deaf in my left ear. I wear TransEar aids to hear in my right ear. I am moderately hearing impaired in my right ear. It has gotten progressively worse since I was a child. I've been told I will need a CI one day...
Thank-you very much for your advice. I went ahead and took the leap of faith and ordered skeleton molds. If they don't work out I'll just order silicone ones, no nig deal. Oh, and I ordered purple, my FAVE color! I have the pink/purple flower ear gear covers, so they'll match perfect!
Hi! I've always had silicone ear molds. I am getting new molds because my Mom's dog ate my old ones  Now that I'm looking at my options, I'm thinking about getting the skeleton ones. The maker I'm looking at has a hole for reducing feedback, which I really like. I've never seen a skeleton...
I think I figured it out today! I got so frustrated in the middle of yoga, and it suddenly occurred to me to hook them onto a small chunk of hair (my hair was in a bun) and it worked like a charm! I had to push in the parts that go inside my ear a few times, since the tubing was being pulled up...
Thank-you both!
Sheila, I'm from California!
Staci, glad to :-) I'm a 22yr old college student, going for my Psych degree right now. I love doing yoga and bike riding. I have a wonderful family, who adopted me as an adult. I'm a pretty lucky girl!
Thanks Deaf Elements, that's a good idea. I probably have one of those sport headband things that would work the same way! I wouldn't be able to just take them off though, because I wouldn't be able to hear the instructor. I already look dumb enough to everyone else when I'm doing the completely...
I need some help. I recently started attending yoga classes, and have had a horrible problem with my BTE HA's falling off during class. They don't fall off all the way, just the part that hooks on my ear falls off. But it is extremely annoying to constantly have to fix them instead of focusing...
