I wasn't happy the next day after watching this movie when I woke up at 2:44 am. I thought that was a little too close to 3 am!
Now I'm going to have to do some research online and see if that 3 am thing is supposed to be true.
Your dog is cute! She sounds like she is training you hehe. Dogs are always doing things like that!!
My dog earlier decided she didn't want to go outside unless I came with her. So what did I do? I went outside with her. Seriously who is in control here??
:giggle:
Now I'm staying...
I saw this movie - it is scary & really good! Especially because it is based on a true story. I cant find much about the real story on the internet though.
I agree.
I don't wear a hearing aid - with moderate loss I could but also am ok not wearing any. I use amplified phones & lipread & captions to fill in what I miss.
If my insurance would cover it I'd get one - would make things easier. But I don't have the money to pay for it myself...
LOL! :)
But, this article is the second time in two days I've seen someone talk about how horrible life must be for deaf dogs. How they're so depressed, they can't have much of a life. I have had dogs who have gone deaf later in life & have adjusted very well. Every bit as happy (or depending...
I never knew why i couldnt get the ear buds to stay in my left ear or if I did they hurt until I saw a new audiologist last year & he told me that my ear canal wasn't shaped correctly. I think a dr should have told me that a long time ago!?
This is the thing about having moderate hearing...
In an article someone posted here, the article was talking about a movie & said that only 3 percent of hearing parents of deaf children will learn sign languge.
Why??
If a deaf child is supposed to learn to speak - why shouldn't a hearing parent learn to sign?
Does anyone know if that...
I don't know! I always smile at the idiot being rude & just act even nicer to them while I am saying :madfawk: at them in my mind hehe.
Sometimes it would probably feel better to say something like I can't hear you that well but I can understand you just fine! You don't have to talk down to me.
Hi :) I'm new to Alldeaf. My name is Catherine & I am hard of hearing & I am taking an ASL I class since I never learned to sign. I live in Cincinnati Ohio. I also am training a hearing dog. These forums look interesting! Merry Christmas!
