Alicia, I'm glad to read your post because I was wondering what happened with your CI eval. I hope your current hearing aids are serving you well for the time being. Please keep us posted on how you are doing as well as the results of your ABR.

I don't think I would. I've done some reading on the ABI, and admit to being nervous about the fact that it involves the brainstem. Even though I chose to receive bilateral CIs to increase my own personal safety, improve my hearing, etc. the ABI seems like a risk (for me) not worth taking.

The article offered a good description of the stand up seats and it's something I wouldn't elect for myself even if it were offered for a cheaper airline fare. I've recently developed some back issues and would think that standing for long periods of time would only exacerbate a person's pain...
