    I have tried them and although they do make voices louder I still have problems comprehending what is being said...typical hear but don't understand what is being said sort of thing..some tone of voices are better than others and therefore easier to understand but it seams I am running into less...

    Hi Mary-Anne...I understand totally what you are going through as I am experiencing the same problems with my job as an internal auditor. Accommodations don't really apply as 90 percent of my job involves listening..and understanding what is being presented so that I can identify control gaps...

    They are less than a year and top of the line...so all good there...just my hearing ..especially understanding what people are saying..getting worse...but I am fortunate in many ways..so shouldn't complain...

    Are you deaf & dating a hearing person?

    I sort of believe that if two people have a connection then it doesn't matter if one can hear clearly and the other can't. You cant help how you feel about someone and in most cases what is meant to be will be, regardless.

    There is a lot I miss out on being hoh and for me I wouldn't hesitate to take that cure...but respect everyone's thoughts on this as we are all different with our life experiences.
