Hi, I am still in the same person as wolfgalaz. My name is Marie and I had been here since last year. I haven't post much. I guess I am shy. I am here to seek deaf dwarf because I love little people so much. They are so cute and special. I often watch the little people and big world because they (the roloff people) are so amazing! I have seen few little hearing people where I am at. I thought they are cute. I never have friend who is deaf and dwarf. I just love to be friend with them
 
I used to work with a little person, he wasn't deaf. But he always said he wanted to be treated like a regular person, not anything special just because he was little. I think deaf people sometimes experience the same thing...people who want to be friends with them just so they will be friends with a deaf person, or just to learn sign language, etc.

:hmm: Interesting.. that I do not see deaf dwarf myself, but I do see short deaf people....
 
I noticed for those who were born due to rubella measles tend to be smaller and have smaller hands. I am 5'3 and all of my siblings are over 5'6. If my mom had not gotten the disease- I would have been taller like my sisters.

I never met any deaf dwarf or midget so not to my knowledge? i am sure there are some out there.


As for the show Little People Big world, I love the show.. its an interesting show and see their every day lives and how they go thru.

I'm only 5 ft myself so while I'm not a LP, I'm still short. :)

I never knew or realized that rubella babies tend to be shorter. I'm a rubella baby also and am shorter than both of my parents. My mom is like 5'4 and my Dad is like 5'10-5'11 so with me not even being able to reach my Mom's height kinda sucked. Heh. I'm fine with it now though. :)
 
Never met a little person who is deaf. However, there is an ASL terp who serves to the Baltimore area who is a midget herself. I think her parents are deaf...I could be wrong.
 
Yea, I seen a deaf midget woman in a wheelchair in her 70's of age, probably she's gone now. I haven't see her for long time..
 
We have 4 feet 11 inch poster here in alldeaf. is that shorter ??

Not really shorter but it called petite

I have confession why I post at the first place is because I felt so **** :mad2: at some students in school who called me dwarf which I was 4' 8". I did not understand what's wrong with me, so my mom took me to the hospital to have a dr to exmaine on me. He found out that I am turner's syndrome when I was 15 years old with heart problem. So they (the hospital) gave me GH (Growth Hormone) to help me to grow tall. So now I am 5' 2 1/2" I am doing alright now. It happen in school in between from 1987 to 1991. I just want let you know about what is dwarf or petite and people with trouble growth due birth. I just want to be friend with shorter deaf people so it would make me feel :ily: and happier (sigh) I felt better now :D

I am 5'3 but no shoes then I am 5'1.... It happens in gene family.

I am a rubella baby, too. I am 5'3" and have small hands/feet. My sister is shorter than me. I wear size 6 shoes. Both of my sisters and my mother all wear size 8 shoes. Lot of women in my family (especially on my father's side) are short so I don't really stand out in the height department.

I first heard about small hands/feet due to rubella from Jamie Burke's website.

You have smaller hands and feets.. you are so cute... I am 5 3 but my feet were smaller which curve. I cant wear narrow size like pizza shoes or high heel any longer. Jamie Burker???? who is she and let me read about her in her website. ummm[
 
I'm technically a little person because I'm 4'6. From a medical classification, in order to be considered a little person, one must be under 4'9.

And, btw, the polite term is "little person". It's rude to call someone a midget.
