No! setting number won't change, they protect but vp-100 yes change number .. but vp-200 first time, yes Number work, second for moved house, won't work change number..

can change phone number on soreson 200vp

The VP200 cannot change the phone nbrs.

Simply call SVRS customer service to update the home address "My Vp200 cannot change phone nbr and I need to update for new home address on SVRS 911", then the SVRS will inform VoIP 911 office to update when you moved to other home or city.

Hearing VoIP usually keep phone nbr forever, the person responsibility to call VoIP customer service to update new home address for VoIP 911 system after moved in.

TDD is already obsolete years ago. Hardly anyone would use TDD. It's collecting dusts now. Hope newer TDD would work with IP free. If anyone heard something new, let everyone know!!

Catty

You have poor ponder.

I met more than 10 deaf who are very poor unlike us, cannot afford computer or have high-speed, yet, they're use TTY in today.

After power outage in FLA, I learn from FLA's relay service that I called them today on TTY. They claim there were over hundred in half hour are use TTY to use relay service while the operation in building have backup power.

relay online or VRS are useless during bad time.

I have changed my phone number on the Sorenson VP screen more than once, so I know that can be done.

I do have the ability to call 911 from my Blackberry. I don't even have a phone plan, only a data-only plan. And even if I didn't, I could still call 911 from my Blackberry using the IP Relay and give out the home address.

Be aware, 911 for mobile phone may not work on certain area where tower aren't function. To status where you're actual at, that way it auto direct to the location 911 system instead in wrong city. Even in wrong state, oh my gosh!

On your Sorenson VP that you've changed phone number ... was it VP100 or VP 200 or even both? Was it because you want to or you've moved?

No, I was having a problem with my home phone line (it was being converted to digital phone line) so I needed to have the VP call my Blackberry. It was weird because I can't hear enough to hear on the Blackberry without a volume but it worked out ok and then changed it back to my home # when the phone line was working again. I have the VP 200.

Oh okay. Thanks for reply!

groan not limited
911 work perfect on soronson vp try it

whar fine print?

oh brother! You would have to look up again. Here you go...
Sorenson VRS

Because of current limitations, Sorenson VRS cannot automatically route emergency calls to the nearest Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) at this time. Sorenson VRS urges you to use traditional TTY relay service for emergency calls to avoid a possible life-threatening delay. However, if a 911 call is placed and reaches the video relay interpreter, the interpreter will make every effort to complete the call and relay your information to the emergency call center. You will need to provide your name, address, city, state, and local phone number (not 911) for the emergency services that you wish to call. Dialing 911 from your phone or through TTY services is safer and faster than what Sorenson VRS can provide at this time.
