Folks.... the 2007 World Series playoffs start today!! Here are the matchups...

National League:

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Chicago Cubs:
Arizona has won the World Series before, in 2001 and last appeared there as well and will face the Cubs which are trying to win their first WS since 1908!!! AND last time the Cubs appeared was in the 1945 WS....I d know the Cubs were so so close to going back there back in 2003 if not for that famous collapse via that idiot that caught what was an easy out by the Cubs outfielder...I do hope the Cubs will march on there to the WS..

Philadelphia Phillies @ Colorado Rockies:
Philly has won their only WS back in 1980 and did play in the WS in 1993.. and now is back in the playoffs after a long absence...Colorado has yet to win a WS title or even appear in that WS series, but had gotten thru a marathon tiebreaker game vs San Diego this past Monday which was amazing enough....

Predictions: Cubs in 4 games over Arizona, Philly in 3 over Colorado

American League:

NY Yankees @ Cleveland Indians:
NYY has last won the WS in 2000 and last appeared in 2002 losing as well..Cleveland has last won the WS in 1948 and was in the WS in 1995 and 1997, losing as well.... NYY and Cleveland have met in the playoffs prior to the WS, with Clev winning in 1997 3 games to 2, and in 1998 with NYY winning 4 games to 2...

Boston Red Sox @ Los Angeles Angels:
Boston last won and appeared in the WS in 2004, with the miracle playoff run which started with being behind 3 games to 0 vs the hatred Yankees and running off 8 straight games all the way to sweeping St. Louis.... LAA last won the WS in 2002 as the Anaheim Angels, also last WS appearance there as well.. Bos and LAA has met before in the playoffs, in 1986 with Bos winning 4 games to 3 vs back then California Angels, and in 2004 with Bos winning 3 games to 0 vs Anaheim Angels....

Predictions: Cleveland 3 games to 1 vs NYY and Bos 3 games to 2 vs LAA

Any other predictions?? Post in here eh!!! ONTO the World Series!!
 
I can't even predict this one because Red Sox messed up so much even though they're in the first place. New York has caught up big time and still remain 2nd place. So, tough call there. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for awhile and see how they go. :Ohno:
 
Update:

American League: NY Yankees are one game away from going home for the winter!!! WOOO Cleveland can end the series tomorrow (in case the yankees win, Cleveland still can win game 5)... I am delighted to see the Yankees crap all over.. hehe.... and the other one, LA Angels vs Boston, Game 2 I am watching now... 3-3 in 8th inning with Red Sox batting...

National League: Looks like the Colorado Rockies are on a good roll, having pushing the Phillies closer to elimination as well... Philly will need to win to avoid ending the season... and over with the Cubs and Diamondbacks, the Goat curse will contine unless the Cubs can reverse the 2 games to 0 lead Arizona is enjoying....

I will say this. .na na na goodbye yankeescrapa$$holes... good riddance to them if they do lose Game 3.... hehe...

ONG.. your Cubs better try to win tonite or the D-backs gonna sting them good... oohhh... plus Philly vs Colorado also tonite too... Will the Phillies win or will we see the Rockies in their first NL Championship series to play? will see tonite!!!

Tomorrow Yankeescrapbums vs Indians in NY City and I beleive Boston in Anaheim to face the Angels for Game 3 too...

Folks...look like we will watch the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies battie it out for the National League Championship!!! Arizona swpt aside Chicago Cubs and Colorado did the same to Philly...wow.. wouldnt surprised if the Arz-Col series reach 7 games!!!! Now to wait for Boston/LA Angels and Cleveland/NYY... Boston and Cleveland lead their series 2 games to 0.... another round of sweeps eh?

Yeaaaaaaaaa! Wait a minute...they are not there. I will waiting and see how Yankess need two more wins that will be another great rivial match come up before World series. Who si Rockies and D'backs? LOL
 
Boston has swept aside the LA Angels and will wait to see if Cleveland can kick the damn Yankees out... btw Yankees won tonite to force game 4 for tomorrow!! ack...gonna pray to hell Cleveland end the Yankees' season for once!!! lol
 
A few know that I'm a 'Yankee' fan, have been one for such a lonnng time--this season has some mixed feelings. For one, it's been in this order of teams I like rooting for: 'Yankees', 'Orioles' (Baltimore) and then the 'Indians' for some time. Now it's the 'Yankees', 'Indians' and then the 'Orioles'. Cal Ripken has since retired from playing for the 'Orioles'..anyhow, back to about this season. Knowing that it may be Joe Torre's last season as the 'Yankees' manager (that is if the team loses) and he has done a tremendous job over 12 championship filled years. At the same time, living in 'Indian' territory these days, it is with happiness and glee to see how well this team has come along all season long...thus, the mixed feelings. However, besides stating--May the best team win...I think I'll go with hoping the Indians can pull it off, afterall, if Joe Torre does end up leaving...he'll be regarded as one of the all-time great managers ever in baseball...and that is indeed an awesome and great feat to have accomplished over the years. As for the 'Indians', they can start their own 'dynasty'...by winning the big one--'The World Series Championship'. :D

OOOO a Yankee fan in hostile Cleveland Indians terriotory eh? LOL RR.. yeah I also heard A-Rod might be gone soon...and Roger Clemons might also hang up his clents and glove for good....true, the Yankees have made themselves powerful in the last 12 or 13 years..maybe it time to see another team make themselves along the same line with the Yankees and dominate well enough... it could be Cleveland, Boston, LA Angels.. who knows if the other MLB teams will start to be competitive and excellent?
 
I would much rather seeing a NL win a world series this year. I never liked both the Yankees and Indians. I don't care much for Red Sox, either.

Arizona or Colorado is good for a change.
 
Ok folks.... the Cleveland Indians have kicked the New York Yankees out of the playoffs with a 3 games to 1 series win... now Cleveland will face off vs Boston for the American League championship! wow....

Not pretty for Yankees lost first three series last three years...I would guess their lost three series in a row - got curse from Red Sox who came back from 0-3 to win the series over Yankees in 2004 and won WS. :giggle:

Cleveland got Yankees real good after Yankees swept Cleveland durig regular season. Gotta to be good match up against Boston Red Sox. Red Sox in 7.
