My Activation

since I upped the setting to #2, I was breathing and thought I was hearing a "nose whistle" because the timing was so perfect...lol
It was actually the train horns and I am hearing it further away now before it gets into town... wow just wow.
I was hearing something like wind noise but no wind, took me a bit and then it hit me, I am close to the highway, its the cars and trucks zooming past.... what gave it away you ask, a harley...lol
 
I am also hearing the Piper planes taking off at the small local airfield thats about 1 miles from me as well.
 
And you thought you were living out in the quiet country. :lol:

WOW! That is so amazing ! when I am falling asleep with my hearing aid on I can hear myself snoring and that will wake me up. LOL!

Can you hear the birds from inside the house too? This has to a real trip to you hearing so many new sounds . That happen to me too when I got some new HA , I kept hearing a sound while driving and it took a few minutes to realize it was cars driving pass me and the wind . Doesn't the sound a Harley sound great ? I think so .

I havent heard the birds yet, raining today, or if I have I hadnt figured out what it was yet... have a ton of squirrels here when the sun is up. But today they are in their shelters, cold and wet out there.

I had no idea rain made noises when it rained on my umbrella until I got my first hearing aid and paper bags. I hated the sound they made , it took awhile to get use to paper bags. This is the best news I heard in a long time! :D
 
Congrats Mike, what a wonderful way to start the new year. I'm sure your son is super excited for you.

Picked up my son today, I said, Hey buddy, they fixed daddy's ear!
He said, I know.
me: You do, how?
he: You told me yesterday. ( he remembers I said I was going on friday when I last seen him on thursday)
he: I LOVE YOU DADDY !!!!
me: I love you too buddy !!!

I heard every word clearly, OMG !

Then I was talking to my wife, and our son was about 5 feet behind me started talking, I repeated the words to my wife and she was shocked.
Her: You heard him and you werent even looking to lip read !
Me: Told you I understand the words. ( alot of other noises but I hear the words )

Ahhhh so sweet and amazing. Sorry if I missed it, but did you get the N6? If so is it water proof?
 
yes and yes, but its not fool proof so I did get the aqua sleeve.
 
Does your son realize that you can only hear when you have the processor hooked up? Guess he'll learn soon enough. :)

Yes, we talked about it and he put the coil on for me...he thinks it funny with the magnet...
So what did I have to do? YEP !!!!!
I went in the kitchen to get his milk and acted like my head stuck to the fridge... OMG, he though that was funny, then I was talking to him and said lets write it down so we dont forget, then I acted like I used my head to hold the note to the fridge.... Im a doofus, but we have fun.

My wife says he is exactly like me, crazy, temper ...lol ah well.
