ios 7

Before ios 6 my iphone was OK until i updated it.. my iphone's text message goes to my kids and my hubby's text. I dont like it. so i tried to fix it over and over .. i visited apple store and told me to set up my own apple ID. Therefore the text message wont go to my kids's and hub's

did anyone of you have the same problem as mine? its frustrating!

Apple ID account in desktop or laptop for backup, restore files, APP to iPhone and iPad. also, Recovery OS.

without Apple ID account won't active your iphone or won't download app from iTune store.

I am learning about it. It seems that my apple id is still there.

Your profile never get lost. just change password. iCloud is same as like parent control-style from computer to iphone, ipad, appleTV

Omg!! I hope not!! I don't even want to ask my son if he got any of the text messages I sent out or if he got any of mine. Well, considering I know the other person got them, and I got theirs, unless it they got sent out as duplicates my son probably wouldn't have gotten them. Omg I'd die.

I am more worried about my friends private convo that my kids don't need to know what my friends private life. After I went to Apple store and it seems to me that text messages stopped going to my kids so far.

Ohh, I figured it out. It was not text. It's iMessage. NEVER USE SAME account for Apple ID each iPhone as you, your kids, and hubby. Or everyone will read same iMessage. Make your own account Apple ID.

Go down page till you see set up imessage.

Blue is iMessage and green is text.

I had a similar situation when my wife got both iPad and Iphone where she can either use her phone number or e-mail address to send text message. She often use e-mail address as her account to send text messages which causing to broadcast all of her devices. I did warn her about the differences between using the phone number and e-mail. If she use phone number, it will only communicate between her cell phone and other people cell phone but if using e-mail address, it will broadcast both her iPhone and her iPad. So, one day my stepdaughter borrowed her iPad and when my wife and I was talking back and fort via text messages and suddenly I heard her laughing upstair which I knew that she was reading our text messages. So, I decided to talk to her dirty and my stepdaughter scream, "OH THAT IS GROSS!" She ran down and threw her ipad to the couch...and looked at me "I DON"T WANT TO READ THIS! This is DISGUSTING!!" I laughed hard. Then I told my wife that she was reading our text message and she got really embarrassed. She have no idea that my stepdaughter took her iPad. LOL!!!!

Yes thats what the apple store told me about the key is to have my own apple ID. I changed mine to my own. No problem so far. My kids apple id are under my hub's My kids did complain that they can see each other texts. oh boy!

Someone s iMessage wasn't working. she did resetting network settings on iphone. finally worked fine. You will try to send iMessage to someone s iPhone. Not SMS.
