one year later.. my GPU might get brick or fried

I told you I bought a brand new ASUS Sabertooth motherboard had PCIe 3.0 over my current mobo had PCIe 2.0 is old. I'll give it away to my friend.

Hardly difference between PCIe 2.0 and PCIe 3.0.

It is your ultimate decision, your money, though.

I told ya that PCI-E 3.0 and PCI-E 2.0 are are only 1-2% difference. Not worth it.

Big waste of money for tiny upgrade as 1%-2% performance.

Nah, My new GPU is much better FPS over my old GPU.

Really? You bought the card based on this benchmark? Do you realized this benchmark is pretty biased? Metro: Last Light is designed specifically for NVidia, not AMD. That's why GTX 660 is better. If the benchmark using DiRT3 and AMD cards will be better than NVidia. So, the benchmarks are pretty much useless.

So, I don't follow that sort of benchmark anymore. NVidia and AMD are good products and they both made good GPU cards.

What's about your video card? budget? pssh >.<

My desktop is old parts, no more game since long time ago. E8400 with ATI 4670. Before that my GPU was 8800GTX. I downgraded to 4670 because to build low profile home theater desktop.
Now, since 2009-2010, I'm more interested in mobile GPU and technology.

Adreno 205 > Adreno 225 > Tegra T20 > SGX540 > Mali-400MP > now decide on if I should get Adreno 320 ;)

Oh, you're not enthusiast gamer? Just Smartphone freak and Media player for watching movie freak? *facepalm*...

Oh, by way.. before, old GPU. I noticed Start>Shut down>Sleep. But, Sleep was broken as I can't click sleep mode. I think it was Driver Sweeper removed whole old drivers for GPU after I installed new GPU. I noticed Sleep mode is back to normal. wtf... I think my old GPU is bricked, It won't let me click sleep mode, anyway.

It was not about GPU. It's motherboard with PCI-e 3.0 and it's worthless. You won't noticed anything between old motherboard with PCI-e 2.0 and new motherboard with PCI-e 3.0 for GTX 780. That's all you get is 1%-2% difference. If I was you, I would keep the old motherboard.

Like naisho showed you a picture about PCI-E 2.0 vs PCI-E 3.0. It was about motherboard's type of connect.
