BBC News - Rolls-Royce to back Bloodhound 1,000mph supercar project

Watcha think? Is it possible for a car to go past 1,000 mph?! It'll use a European jet engine. So this 'supercar' is actually a mimic of jet plane, but... you get the idea. :hmm:

If it ever makes it, then it may beat the Thrust 2 that reached 763 mph several years ago, this one had 2 jet engines on each side dwarfing the driver lol. It looked almost like a pacer in Star Wars movie.

WTF, no its not into space, its for land speed breaking

1000mph on land, nothing else. its not a car, its not a space rocket

its a ROCKET ON WHEELS and a aeroplane tail to keep it point straight (and avoid accident)

NASA whoope do, they not too bright...there are other organisation that have more brainer, more extraodinary brain talents

It will never reach any real speed, the driver will always come upon a teenager/soccer mom texting in front of them.

Correct

Image it can suck bird in and blew jet engine up.

nah. not "blow up". it won't bring down a jumbo jet.

if you're about to fly into a flock of bird.... speed it up! turbine engine is pretty well-designed and very safe that it won't "blow up" in a catastrophic way if a foreign object got sucked in.

Are you sure? Remember the plane that dives into Hudson river?, cause? Flock of birds.

Depend size of jet. Small jet is high risk.

Okay, Not blow up. More like jammed.

the rocket bit it just for extra thrust, like an afterburner...
but a prolonged kind
