All of the local dentists require payment in full for all visits if you do not have insurance. Sucks, but that's rural America for ya.
No, there is no Medicaid program in AR for my age group. We have ARKids1st Medicaid insurance for children 0-18, and pregnant women who are pregnant qualify for Medicaid up until 8 weeks after giving birth.
At best I'm SOL as far as insurance goes. The only way I'm going to get halfway decent insurance is to get a good job. The way things have been for the last several years, I'm doubtful this will happen anytime soon.
the other qualifying factors are your disability, low income, and your child.
I took her to the doctor late yesterday afternoon (new doctor) and he orderered bloodwork though the antibiotics could skew the results (she had only taken one so far so we waited till after the bloodwork this morning before she took more). She also had told him her breathing was a little "funny" so he ordered chest xrays. Just got word that that came back clear.
