Soon...lab grown meat

No.... Maybe it's a good time to become vegetarian.

Oh man, seriously? I would be thrilled if they do this with pig meat so I can eat real pepperoni and sausage again.

Also, I'd definitely volunteer to try it, that's an excellent idea if they've actually both found a way to do it, and hopefully can do it cheaper than raising and slaughtering whole animals.

And the reason for being a vegetarian is what?

I still eat chicken and fish , I just do not eat red meat or pork any more.
I was a vegetarian for years , I become one in the 60's when it was not so common. It was very hard eating out as there was no vegetarian meals on the menus .

Yes, but why become a vegetarian?

Me? I'm a member of PETA. .....people eating tasty animals.

This would be a good reason why:

how does one not embed a video??

Sorry, not embedding it here. Young eyes might be around. It's the plain truth of the animal industries.

Just look for Earthlings on youtube.

No way, I prefer to eat natural meats that from animal.

I was suffered with GI problems for 2 weeks and getting improve right now so no way that I will eat this shit that come out from nasty lab, that enough.

Healthly food is important key!

I bet you are kidding.

Grab one raw steak and put in your red cooler, along with soda so take to your family's house for holiday.

That's good and eat too much red meats can impact on health, even GI problems like constipation.

White meats rocks.

I do not constipation very often and I know it because I had not eaten red in years. I have a salad for lunch everyday.

Now I really did enjoy Dr. McDougall's vegan multigrain Cranberry Oatmeal made with organic grains.

Too many people to supply with meat and this is a poor alternative. I am going to do my share to preserve the planet!

Ick. That's just like the thoughts of nightmare. Somewhat like the old movie Soylent Green.

By not eating red meat I am helping the earth! The rain forest is getting cut down to raise beef cattle .

I would do more meat free meals except my family would protest. I do go more vegetarian and whole grains and whole foods, and only do meat for the most part for the rest of family. Most packages of meat are for 4 people as opposed to 5 people, so it works out.

We, as a nation, are definitely eating way too much meats. We need more plants in our diet.

Yes, our bodies aren't designed to consume that amount of meat. In fact, we are omnivores, but our diets are supposed to contain mostly that of vegetables, fruits, etc and a small portion of meat to go with it.

oops, sorry, forgot to read the article... it's quite interesting when it ended with this one: "An Oxford University study found that this process would consume 35-60 per cent less energy, 98 per cent less land and produce 80-95 per cent less greenhouse gas than conventional farming."

That would totally change the game.

I wonder how it would taste tho. Would it produce a steak? or would it likely end up as "ground?"
