Fading sunspots....

The sun's periodicity has been cycling down over the last 70 years.

And they say the sun has no dominating influence over Earth's climate?

Pshhhawww!

A Dalton Minimum Repeat is Shaping Up | Watts Up With That?

I'd rather have warmer periods of climate simply because of the agriculture. You gotta have food to live on.

What people do not realize is that global warming is about extreme weather. Just a couple days ago in Wichita, Kansas, it was 85 degrees at 12:22 am, and twenty minutes later the temperature rocketed to 102 degrees, believe it or not.

At 12:42 in the morning??

A fairly common event....not about global warming but weather on dealing with warm frontal system moving in. A 17 degrees rise. It's a phenomenon called "heat burst." It does happen from time to time all over the world.

Ask the Weather Guys: What is a heat burst?

For example, you have the fastest temperature rise ever was recorded in January of 1943 in Spearfish, South Dakota. In two minutes there was temp rise from -4° F to +49, a 53°F change. Must be all that global warming, too? No, just your typical "heat burst."

Uh... who's "they"? People who understand climate change and all that do realize that there are far more factors in play than just human activity. Just like there's more at play than just solar activity.

But yeah, them sure are some pretty charts. I've got one too. Irrefutable proof, obviously:

I wonder how long it will be before we get the 21st version of Blackbeard? :hmm:

Go a little deeper. Maybe you'll get there.

I didn't mean to imply that heat bursts are caused by global warming. (And by the way, the heat bursts are rare, not "fairly common.") I am aware that our weather system is changing dramatically, hence my statement that global warming means extreme changes. At least, that is my observation from sticking my head out the window. :P

Yup, with a warning that a massive solar flare could knock out all electrical components (including satellite circuitry).

Wouldn't that be something? It is a question of when, not if. No point in worrying about it, though.

In other words, the sun is not the primary climate driver?

Nope, in other words, your entire topic is boring and does not warrant intellectual interest to me.

Or, you know, whatever you said, since I'm sure you'd prefer to simply think anyone who disagrees with whatever ideology you're espousing is an incompetent moron who's bee blinded by a massive governmental and media conspiracy to dupe all those silly rubes who think they're trying to make the world a better place.

In other words, you believe that rising CO2 concentration (currently around 390 ppm) in the atmosphere is the primary cause of global warming due to humans?
