Please, no need to get defensive.
That wasn't defensive, it was a challenge, Einstein.

how about you tone down your sarcasm? It's getting tiresome. Sarcasm can be funny at first but once it's dragged on..... it loses the edge.
Oh my dear, this cartoon thread turn into debate thread.
Okay, Jiro. What a shame that we all don't have the advanced ability to understand concepts the way that you and Kokonut do.

A good article about whatever. Exactly why people who think $1.8 trillion dollars over the allocated/budgeted amount for Congress is no big thinking it can be paid down quickly or easily. Nuh uh. People simply do not realize just how big a trillon dollars is like, especially in the tens of trillions.
I've never claimed to understand it. It still boggles me.![]()
Perhaps Jiro and Kokonut would be willing to share their secret with the rest of us uneducated folks?

see my post #145![]()
kokonut,
Would you be so kind as to describe the videos you post so that the rest of us who are deafblind know what you are talking about??
Yep. Same here. With that man standing next to a trillion dollars to rows and rows and rows of crate is mind boggling. Even that science video on the factor of ten is amazing. A trillion miles seems like nothing to many people but even if you travel at 10,000 miles per hour in space it'd still take you 11,415 years to reach a trillion miles.
Mind boggling. Even if you think 10,000 mph is fast but to put in relatively that number gets to look very, very small.
It's all relative!
It's a video that starts at the sub-atomic scale showing a computer rendition of what quarks look like and then factor that size/scale by ten then it eventually get to the size of an atom, then it progresses to a leave then tree then up in the atmosphere seeing a dot of a tree below then to space..keeps going til it's light years away from earth.
Yep, and the object of a political cartoon is to convey messages to the audience. I am just conveying my thoughts loudly on what that cartoon is saying. *shrugs*
This is also just a cartoon and I found it humorous, too.

Two policeman with one holding a gun already fired two shots into a crazed monkey's chest who lie dead sprawled on his/her back on the city sidewalk and one policeman says: "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill." This was drawn after a highly publicized event about an actual monkey that gone crazy after an owner's friend.

I actually lol'ed but if I recall correctly - that thread ended up getting locked.
is that why monkey thread got locked?
Really? Where is it?
This one is hilarious and so true!

pic of a politican fingers to a hispanic looking family shouting, "It's time to reclaim America from illegal immigrants!" The Indian next to the politician looks at him and says, "I'll help you pack."
It's unknown who drew it but it was from my FB. Anyone that recognize it, please credit it to that creator!
It's all relative! What does it have to do with a cartoon about illegal immigrants?
