so you're admitting that we're right?

Huh?

Can you please show me where I say to agree with Iran Election?

I never say anything one word that I agree with Iran Election.

How soon we forget. It was staged.
The photographs tell the story...

Hardly. Coalition forces entered Bagdad rather quickly and without much resistance. Iraqis didn't pull down the statue (an American tank did that) but they certainly wanted to see that statue go down. The Iraqis themselves eventually dragged the thing across the streets of Bagdad while throwing or hitting their shoes at it.

Ahem, yeah..."staged." It was a spur of the moment thing, not something that was planned. Remember, it was reported that (see 2nd video) it was the Iraqis who tried to get the statue down with ropes but it was rather unsuccessful. So the American troops decided to help, and the rest is history.

:ty: kokonut for videos. I was going to correct my post by saying "technically" - it was the Americans who brought down the statue but it was more like the Americans "helped" Iraqis in bringing it down so in other word - Iraqis brought it down. We liberated them.

The videos don't show much. They are in close range, while the photos I show aerial views. Sorry, I stand my my posting.

didn't you :applause: for Ahmadinejad and wished him best of luck in other thread? You asked us how we know if it's a false election. You accepted the "fact" that the people voted for him.

Guess what? you were wrong on both statements.

Er, how was it staged if this was a spur of the moment thing when Iraqis saw troops enter Bagdad and it was they, the Iraqis, who decided to try and take down the statue themselves? In the BBC documentary they noted that the Americans didn't get involved at first but once they saw that they were having trouble putting a rope around the statue of Saddam they decided to help. And the rest is history. Now, this wasn't a large, large stadium like crowd. No. But many Iraqis came out to help topple the statue. And eventually many more came out into the streets with the statue being dragged.

Ok, now, exactly what do you mean by "staged"?

This is a false statement of you.

I did not :applause: for Ahmadinejad. This is a slander of you. I am sure that ADers know the difference when they read my post.

I only stated that I am surprised that Ahmadinejad won at election because I thought Mossavi won. I have to accept Iranians´ decision for Ahmadinejad and congrats him and wish him best of good luck in polite way to respect Iranians. I did the same during Bush Election as well because I don´t live their country.

It´s not my responsible that you misinterpreted my post.

This is a slander what you tried to confuse ADer that I :applause: for Ahmadinejad which I did not.

I am waiting for your apology for this.

Death video woman 'targeted by militia'

Amateur video apparently showing a young Iranian woman dying in Tehran after she was allegedly shot by pro-government militia on Saturday has caused outrage in Iran and abroad.

The woman, Neda Agha-Soltan, was buried on Sunday.

Her fiance, Caspian Makan, told BBC Persian TV about the circumstances of Neda's death. She was near the area, a few streets away, from where the main protests were taking place, near the Amir-Abad area. She was with her music teacher, sitting in a car and stuck in traffic.

She was feeling very tired and very hot. She got out of the car for just for a few minutes.

And that's when it all happened.

That's when she was shot dead. Eyewitnesses and video footage of the shooting clearly show that probably Basij paramilitaries in civilian clothing deliberately targeted her. Eyewitnesses said they clearly targeted her and she was shot in the chest.

She passed away within a few minutes. People tried to take her to the nearest hospital, the Shariati hospital. But it was too late.

We worked so hard to get the authorities to release her body. She was taken to a morgue outside Tehran. The officials from the morgue asked if they could use parts of her corpse for body transplants for medical patients.

They didn't specify what exactly they intended to do. Her family agreed because they wanted to bury her as soon as possible.

We buried her in the Behesht-e-Zahra cemetery in southern Tehran. They asked us to bury her in this section where it seemed the authorities had set aside spaces for graves for those killed during the violent clashes in Tehran last week.

so horrible! :(

Enough said on what you said in bold, red letters (my emphasis).

And?

Don´t you know what respect is?

If high voters are for him then I have to accept because it´s Iranian´s decision, not you, me and everyone.

It´s bad if you don´t like Iranian´s decision for him.

I personally thought Mossauvi won but Iranians see different because they live in Iran, not us.

what voters? :laugh2: It was rigged!!!! I can't believe you didn't know. What do you think why Iranians are fighting?? cuz election was rigged! It's not me who didn't like Iranian decision for him. It was Iranians who didn't like the election result! I knew it was rigged election and that is :nono:

Er, please understand. There is a difference between accepting a voting result knowing that it was not rigged versus accepting a voting result that was obviously rigged or at least highly suspicious. It's not called "respect" if one turns a blind eye toward an obvious rigged voting result. You can't have it both ways in the attempt to justify a position.

um...... from its website -

You have reached the homepage of The NewStandard, which ceased publication on April 27, 2007. You can still access the nearly 3,000 original articles and numerous other features published by TNS via the links below.

Screenshot of final NewStandard homepage The NewStandard was a unique online newspaper founded on the belief that the dominant model and methods of profit-focused news journalism have failed the public interest. Managed by a collective of journalists and published by a reader-funded, non-hierarchical nonprofit organization, TNS was committed to bold, hard-hitting daily news coverage, providing a vetted forum for the voices and issues often ignored in the establishment news arena.

Unlike its corporate counterparts, which typically prioritize profits, TNS existed solely to fulfill its public mission, to support the livelihood of media workers who share its passion, and to sustain an innovative egalitarian, participatory workplace structure. To keep its content free of outside financial or political agendas, TNS was funded entirely by readers and accepted no advertisements or foundation grants.

But for various reasons, TNS never gained the level of support needed to provide sustainable jobs and to develop the readership it needed to thrive. After nearly three and a half years online, the five staffers who formed the PeoplesNetWorks Collective ? the nonprofit that published TNS ? decided to shut down operations.

yea.... lack of support.... yea I wonder why....

maybe you searched a little too fast. try a few minutes to search :)
