yep i know but... the cost of flight + hotel.. I was actually contemplating on driving up to Detroit for its upcoming auto show but.....................They have auto shows in Vegas!!!

you could go to local tourist shop and feel the objects. that's one of the reason why I love to go to auto shows - to see, feel, smell the concept/new cars. I've been going to NY Auto Show every year for past several years (i missed only one because I was in Virginia)
i also love watching auto shows on tv and wish i could attend them in person, but i just don't have the money. (even though i'll never be able to drive, i'm still fascinated by new concept cars.)
i had an upper respiratory infection a few weeks ago, so been there, done that. feel better soon!
as for tourist shops, i'd love to visit them to see what kinds of things they have. when i move to arizona, i think i'll definitely be spending more time in vegas whenever i can.
