You would need to be able to play DVDs on your computer. From there, you can simply take screenshots from there.

Usually, the program that you play DVDs on will allow you to take snapshots of what you're looking at. If not, you can always use the PrintScrn key. It's usually located after the F12 key on your keyboard. When you press it, it will take a snapshot of whatever you're looking at on your screen. You can then open any image program like Photoshop or MSPaint. From there, you can use ctrl+V to paste it.

I just did. Perhaps, it's the DVD player that is the problem. What's the name of the DVD player that you're using?

I'm not referring to the movie you used. I'm referring to the DVD player.

No, it isn't impossible. You can do it with PowerDVD, and several other programs.

I thought the same thing, protection by copy rights so they don't post the pictures on web sites or etc....

If I were you Zericsrats, I would check to be sure it's not against the law first....

I can do with PowerDVD -- that's the software that you can play DVD's with on the computer.

Well there's a Windows program/patch called ActiveX... you'll need it for other programs and games, but this program prevents you from taking screenshots of DVDs on your computer, so check you haven't gotten this first. I tried taking screenshots and it worked but once ActiveX was installed, it didn't work anymore.
