Question Do you agree with...

this video said you can't be humanist without believing in the principles of feminism? Why or why not?

Discuss away.

Sorry, no opinion. Not sure I understand the question.

Deaf Hope is a northern CA based organization against domestic violence of deaf women........owned by and run by mostly, if not all, deaf women.

I mean, it is about feminism and humanism but it is nothing to do with deafness or Deaf community. I borrow a few AD'ers quotes:

Quote:
Humanism values all parts of humanity.

So on a basic level, you would need to embrace feminism, in order to embrace all parts of humanity.
Quote:
Humanism is to find value in all people no matter what race, gender, sexual preference, income level, religious beliefs, or country of origin.
Does that clear?

Perhaps I am just not understanding the question yet, but one can be opposed to the abuse of women without the labels humanist or feminist. One can also embrace the ideal that every human being has value without either of those labels.
