It's too bad that she had to quit but she has to do what's best for her recovery. I wish her the best.

I just saw this news flash in my cellphone. I wish her the best toward her full recovery. She is one of best examples in being a dedicated civil servant with integrity.

I think you mean public servant but I agree with your sentiment.

That may be the case... However, the gunman's objective of getting her out of the voting picture in Congress was achieved. The Democrats are hoping that she will recover to run again in the future. That can't be ruled out.

I cringe at the thought of this, for some reason. I can just see her opponents questioning her mental capacity, stability, etc.

I saw her on TV saying she was stepping down and it was very sad to see how much difficulty she has in talking . I hope she will be able to regain most her speech. I know she it not able to use her right arm , she had to lift it with her left arm when she was saluting the American flag. She is a remarkable woman to come this far .
