OK, come here and let's hug...

You do realize that bringing my religion into debates is the same, to me, as someone using your son in a debate, to you. If it had never begun, we would get along great. Heck, we have similar views on a lot of things.

Then stop bringing your religion into it. Very simple.

You guys have similar positions no doubt. Heck, you and I disagree on most things. But at least you are polite and respectful of others. Fun to have you here on AD whether agree or disagree.

I was just like you; logically opposed to any faith. "Where is the proof? How can God create evil?" et al.

That was before Mom passed away. Those words quoted from Steve Jobs were very familiar to me.

Making some pretty big assumptions there. You have no idea what my spiritual base is. When I say I don't discuss my religion, I actually mean it,

I have buried a mother, a father, a brother and a husband. I did not need their deaths to steer me toward spirituality. The fact that it was already present in my life is what gave me the strength to handle the loss.

The same quote I wrote down what Steve Jobs said?

Why? Can't they speak for themselves on their own website? It's their official website, so they can present themselves and their beliefs as they wish.

Yes, his last words. My mother did similar things, and I was a long ways from cracking a Bible before that happened.

Correct. You have not tipped your "faith" hand. That is your choice. As I said, it was not the death of my mother that changed me, but what happened on the deathbed. Sorry for all your losses. It is always difficult to lose loved ones.

What happened? I remember you mentioning about this a few months ago when the incident occurred. Is there a thread were you posted about the experience that I can look at? I have no interest in knowing other than for pure curiosity.

Of course they can. But there is so much more to learn about the Nation of Islam other than what is condensed into a website. Are you interested in learning about the religion?

What happened on the deathbed was directly related to her death, was it not?

I was at the bedside of all my family members when they passed, with the exception of my husband, and I came home from the grocery to find him dead of a massive heart attack. But like I said, none of it changed my spiritual foundation. My spiritual foundation is the guiding force of the way I perceived and dealt with those losses.

Our experiences varied. Not going to discuss something so personal. Sorry.

Your choice. But since I have not related exactly what occured at the deathbed of my family members, it is only your assumption that your experiece varied from mine, or was unique in any way.

Reba, just out of curiosity, do you think Christianity can be condensed into a website?

Contained in one website. You asked if a religion could be contained in one website. I mentioned deafness, cuz here we are. Seemed pretty easy to connect the dots, to use something we are all familiar with.

I will slink away. Sorry I spoke.

It could but it would have to be started by Christ and, of course, that is not going to happen.

"Thing is, people seem to think the Nation of Islam only includes dark skinned people. They probably walk by the caucasion appearing members every day without being frightened in the least."

The reason I mentioned it was because of your above quote. Since you believe that "people seem to think the Nation of Islam only includes dark skinned people," then I thought that maybe that website could enlighten people.

What is in there can could be perceived as fighting? Just pointing out that you have to know what my experiences were before you can label them as different.
