You are getting to see with a Republican presidential candidate now.

I think you could look back thru the archives to find your answer. I came here a couple of years before Obama got elected. I don't recall the threads being this contentious till Obama got elected.

Actually, it's the hyper partisanship on both sides that that has divided this nation though I hold the Republicans are a lot more responsible for that.

I am sure you would disagree that your opinion is biased. You see, the only reason Obama was elected is because he blamed everything on Bush - he promised to close Gitmo, said chasing after OBL was a witch hunt, that we should become friends with Iran, will redistribute wealth, reform healthcare by shredding the constitution and punsih rich people for being successful.

Like Martin Luther King, he is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus. He is not a career politician but out of love for his country, he seeks now to lead.

If we have an honest discussion on whether the war on poverty should be fought with welfare or with economic growth in the private sector, Democrats will lose black votes.

When Mr. Cain says abortion is bad business, is hurting America and denying our youngest the civil right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, that is a dangerous discussion for the Democrats and their pro-abortion platform.

When he says the abortion industry, particularly Planned Parenthood, is committing Black genocide, he is giving a national platform to an issue that the mainstream media was quick to label racist and then sweep back under the carpet.

This controversy is nothing more than a political ploy by the establishment to attempt a high-tech lynching, a brazen – if transparent – effort to eliminate this man who actually dares to present solutions for America’s problems.

Dr. Alveda King is civil rights and pro-life activist. She is the niece of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Yeah because it was the republicans that forced unpopular bills through against the will of the people.... Oh wait...

Apparently, the Kings actually did know the Cains. Must be the fact that MLK went to Morehouse - so did Cain.

I do not believe they taught political correctness during the height of segregation.

Uh, no. Jack Ryan tried to force his wife (the actress Jeri Ryan) to have sex with other men at sex clubs. She divorced him and was pretty open about the reason why.

Obama didn't really have to do much.

Ok, let me think about that one . . . . . . . .

Ok, I thought about it.

Out of all of the positions Cain has held over his career, the only allegations came within a 2 and 1/2 year span - all connected to David Axelrod and Chicago.

Keep Cain away from Chicago and he will be fine

Cain's campaign was quick to point out to ABC News that Cain was undergoing treatment for Stage 4 cancer in 2006. A Cain spokesman said that due to his illness, Cain had requested -- and was granted -- a six-month extension of his federal taxes and had requested the same from the state, which Georgia allows.

Nevertheless, the state sent a delinquency notice to Cain in late 2007 and filed the lien in early 2008. Cain spokesman J.D. Gordon said Cain's accountant had protested the delinquency to no avail.

"Mr. Cain responded in a timely manner to the delinquency notice sent by the Georgia Department of Revenue but was unable to stop the process that ultimately led to the filing of the tax lien," said Gordon. Documents show the lien was removed in November 2008.

The Cain campaign didn't resist an opportunity Wednesday to use the candidate's personal tax struggles to reinforce his anti-tax credentials.

"The experience serves as an example of how broken our federal and state bureaucracies are with respect to the collection of revenue," Gordon told ABC News. "The entire process is driven by automated letters generated in response to deadlines."
