More twist and turns. Why is he hiring a lawyer if this is a hacking attempt on his Twitter account?? Shouldn't he be requesting an investigation into this?

Duh, I guess some people don't read their own links. Question answered in article:

he's retained a lawyer to advise him on what civil or criminal actions should be taken.

I was deeply annoyed to discover there was nothing about sausages or hot dogs committing acts of perjury in this thread. Thanks for wasting my time.

Example of american prudishness and hypocrisy?

If I run for office and this happens, I won't be able to say for certain that an image isn't of me because I've taken and shared them a few times before. I fail to see the issue, if it was merely in an email account that he had that was hacked and was later sent out, which is what he seems to be implying may have happened.

That is what everybody is wondering. If it's a hacking incident, why hasn't he demanded an investigation? It's not about the prudishness but his bizarre behavior, the non-answers, the dodging, being vague, changing of the subject....etc... (hmm, strangely familiar) that people are finding it oddly fascinating watching that circus show.

People are interested in this? I don't find it all that interesting. I have my own ideas about what happened but I'm not commenting on this till this story fully develops if ever.

Because he's not (necessarily) having a kneejerk "OMG MUST INVESTIGATE" reaction? It's Twitter, not the Pentagon.

If he's smart, he's already explained what he actually thinks happened to his wife.

A hacking attempt into a politician's account does not warrant an investigation? I agree, this isn't the Pentagon. Where do you draw a line when an investigation is not warranted in a hacking attempt of a politician's online internet account?
