This is starting to worry me.. it's horrible

"BP engineers failed again to plug the gushing oil well on Saturday, a technician working on the project said, representing yet another setback in a series of unsuccessful procedures the company has tried a mile under the sea to stem the flow spreading into the Gulf of Mexico."

Effort to Plug Gulf Well Faces Another Setback - NYTimes.com

It will leave a long lasting damage to millions of people.

Me too.....I think we are seeing worst case senario here.....at least I hope it can't get worse than this.

Can the government take over? Even if they do, what can they do differently to get this plugged?

#48

Major case of butt-wiping soon.
It's like they say in Chinese, it's sad to have someone else TP-wipe your butt for you.

Now the problem is who is paying to get it fixed if the BP can't do it?

Betcha the bama-haters would think twice once they know a sudden surge of their tax dollars would go to this if they expect Obama and the gov' to do something about it.

How? The government is NOT an oil company. It doesn't have the expertise in oil.

And I wonder why other oil companies are NOT helping BP with the plug.

Liability is probably a big reason for other companies not to help them. Plus they have their own public image to worry about, too.

That's a good answer....lol

somebody's problem is somebody's profit

Oh, eventually it'll get plug. Just a matter of getting it done right. When? In time...

Remember this in 1991? (scroll down)
Kuwaiti Oil Well Fires 1991

Over 700 of these wells were lit and released about 6 million barrels of oil a day and these fires burned and released oil for many months until all them were extinguished one by one by engineers.

In time, with human persistence, creativity and knowledge this spill will get stopped.

Maybe some of those New Orleans voodoo people should cast a spell on the leak......

Then again maybe they CAUSED the leak

If it becomes a state of emergency with the oil damaging the ecology, wouldnt the govt take over?

I have every confidence this oil leak will get stopped. The question is how and when. I only hope our oceans don't pay too big a price in the meantime other than what has already happened to our wildlife.

but you said congratulation to BP.

Here is the culprit behind the failure; Mr. Global Warming himself....

AL GORE!

Picture is of Al Gore with flames coming from his mouth

Of course Top Kill failed. If BP wanted any credibility at all they should have named it Fish Kill or Bird Kill. Yeesh.

Simple solution. Drop a shitload of flour in the Gulf. Light it on fire again and invite leaders from around the world to the worlds largest fish fry......Have Emeril (from New Orleans) do it......BAM! world peace
