First, I'd like to hear from them say the same thing about their so called loss on "freedom of religion" when it comes to Arab states allowing non-Islamic churches to proliferate across their cities and towns.

That's it... keep feeding the fundamentalists and radicals in Europe.

Let there be another terrorist attempt...

Keep feeding the fire.

Why are you putting Middle Eastern Muslims and European Muslims in the same category? They lead very different lifestyles and abide by different laws and rules.

So, it's better to ignore the growing Islamic radicalism in Europe then? Whose feeding whom with the fire here?

Fffffffeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrr

Fear ? Yea, right! Psssh. It's all in their heads.

If, they ban on Mosque Minarets, then good for them! :cool2:

Then don't blame me if there's a bombing in Switzerland or Germany if this goes through.\

Really, it's one thing to make an act illegal, but censorship is a quick way to domestic dissent.

Kind of like how they went bonkers over those Danish cartoons mocking Mohammed? Even producing a few fake ones of their own just to fan the fire? Yeah, that's a sure fire way to get them to start a bombing spree to show just how peaceful they are.

so by supporting ban on mosque minarets, do you support the McCarthyism too? The non-answer response to my question will be considered as an admission of endorsement

second that omega, about time we say we dont tolerate intolerance. Jiro and souggy give some slack for Kokonut. I believe Koko was make a good point about the misguided concept of 'freedom', come to think of it, even 'here' in the west we fail to realise we dont have that much freedom. To me it is an illusion brought on about with consumerism so of course they, the bourgeoisie allowed for it in order to gain the economic returns from the consequential use of their instruments of production in which embodies the social structure's more 'fluid' movements (ie 'freedom') providing a means of facilitating material determinisms.

so you support McCarthyism as well?

dunno anything about McCarthyism, could you explain it please

Banning religions... generally not a good idea. One of the quickest ways to piss people off.

"tolerate intolerance."

Okay... That confuses me. Most of the Muslims here are open-minded, and I get the same impression over in Europe as well. Could you be biased by the recent mass-wave of first-generation immigrations in Australia and New Zealand?

in America during 1950's... it was an era of Red Scare. Paranoia and Fear ran high. Senator McCarthy was basically like an evil version of Domestic Dissent Hunter. He accused thousands of people including movie stars, students, teachers, etc. of being a commie supporter. He had them investigated and imprisoned - unconstitutionally. He had any material like books and movies censored if it smells like a communism.

on similar case - during World War 2 with Japan, the fear and paranoia ran high as well. the Americans rounded up thousands of Japanese people living in America and they were American citizens. They got sent to "War Relocation Camps" in California. Few decades later... President Reagan issued a formal apology to them.

so do you want this kind of irrational hysteria based on racial/religion discrimination to happen again?

people tell us "separate the church and states" all the time... like taking 10 commandments... who knows, maybe they don't want any churches build in their gov't owned land? (I don't know the land rights in that country)

If they have some already built, that's would be good news if they don't plan tearing it down. They probably just don't want more built.

you know, in USA, you do have to have permit to build a church. And they will turn it down, but only if it going to cause problems.
