One of my friends (in the pic after the rally that I posted) has parents that are in their mid-to-late 80's. They have been Republicans their entire adult lives. A week before the rally, they could be found at the local Democratic headquarters making phone calls on behalf of Obama. Needless to say, these lifelong Republican, older Americans will be voting for Obama, as well. Just goes to show, you can teach an old dog a new trick!

I don't think of voting as a "trick" that one must learn. |

My 90 year old grandmother would take issue with what you just said. You don't want to get her started on how much she dislikes Bush and the wars in Iran and Afghanistan. You don't want to get her started on how the price of heating oil is affecting her limited budget.
