20 Questions: Why will you vote for Obama?

20 Questions: Why will you vote for Obama?

How specific can you be?

Have you really researched his positions on issues as they affect you and the nation and decided they are better than McCain’s?

How much time have you spent doing that? Do you believe that is more or less time than the average voter spends on this task?

Will you vote for him because of his position on the war in Iraq? What, specifically, about that position will motivate you to vote for him?

Do you think he has enough experience to improve U.S. standing in the world and take meaningful steps toward global peace and prosperity? How will he do this?

What do you know about Obama’s policies on foreign trade and why do you like them?

Is it his position on the economy and taxes that attracts you? What about his stance here is better than McCain’s for you, your neighbors, your state, our country?

What do you know about his position on health care and is that what will get your vote?

Is he a better pick for education issues? What is his plan?

Do you believe he will make better Supreme Court selections?

Are you counting on him to preserve abortion rights?

Are you smitten with his personal qualities, such as his youth, his speaking ability, his attractive family?

Does his selection of Joe Biden as a running mate factor into your decision?

Are you really voting against McCain more than for Obama?

Are you just a die-hard Democrat who would vote for the party’s nominee no matter whom it was?

How specific can you be?

Very specific. Unlike McCain, Obama has provided the public with specifics rather than talking around the issues.

Have you really researched his positions on issues as they affect you and the nation and decided they are better than McCain’s?
Yes.
How much time have you spent doing that? Do you believe that is more or less time than the average voter spends on this task?
I spend at least 3 hours a day informing myself. And I'd say that is more time, but it is not unusual for my friends and co-workers.
Will you vote for him because of his position on the war in Iraq? What, specifically, about that position will motivate you to vote for him?
That is only one of the reasons. His plan for withdrawal of troops.
Do you think he has enough experience to improve U.S. standing in the world and take meaningful steps toward global peace and prosperity? How will he do this?

Absolutely. Europe has already confirmed his ability.

What do you know about Obama’s policies on foreign trade and why do you like them?

Like his other policies, I have read his position on foreign trade. I like them because they will contribute to the strengthening of the U.S economy.

Is it his position on the economy and taxes that attracts you? What about his stance here is better than McCain’s for you, your neighbors, your state, our country?

Again, that is only one of the issues. McCain has made several statements indicating that economic policy is not his strong point, and the economy is a very important issue to the American public. McCain will continue with the same economic policies that have created the recession we are currently experiencing.
What do you know about his position on health care and is that what will get your vote?
Health care is a very important issue in this campaign. And yes, I agree with his plan to offer low cost insurance to all Americans.

Is he a better pick for education issues? What is his plan?

Do you believe he will make better Supreme Court selections?

Absolutely.

Are you counting on him to preserve abortion rights?

Absolutely.

Are you smitten with his personal qualities, such as his youth, his speaking ability, his attractive family?

While I consider him to be a great orator, it is hardly the reason I would vote for him, and I am hardly "smitten".

Does his selection of Joe Biden as a running mate factor into your decision?

Yes. Joe Biden wrote the legislation that put into place the domestic violence laws. Were it not for Joe Biden, victims of domestic violence would have no legal recourse for criminal prosecution.

Are you really voting against McCain more than for Obama?

Absolutely.

Are you just a die-hard Democrat who would vote for the party’s nominee no matter whom it was?

Nope. I'm not even registered as a Democrat.
