What do YOU think?

Putin uses a lot more bellicose language than Bush ever did, so I guess that concerns you.

You look for an argument or what? I need to collect the views from Americans what they think of Putinīs comment. I am not here to compare Putin with Bush but talk about Russia vs Georgia like what I posted at other thread few minutes ago.

We also have to remember that Tskhinvali in S. Ossetia belongs to Georgia.

That's debatable. The Russian Empire annexed Ossetia in the first decade of the nineteenth century, apparently.
Foreign Policy In Focus - Self-Determination - Regional Conflict Profile - Ossetia

RUSSIA = PARANOID

Since when does the installation of defensive weapons (SAMs in Poland, AOE class vessels to deliver aid to Georrgia) constitute an offensive threat?

OK - how would you feel if Russia and China were supplying guns and defensive weapons (SAMS, ICBM, etc.) to Iraq? Same thing. This is viewed as a threat for USA.

oh wait... they did

Yeah but knowing that Ossestia is more loyal to Moscow than it's own capital. It was an internal dispute that got the Russians involved.
