Into the lion's den

Mitt Romney gave his speech at the NAACP yesterday and was well received. Interesting. And what's more interesting is that Obama will send Biden to the NAACP in Houston today to do his speech. Obama got a tongue lashing from CNN about his no-show.

Quote:
BLITZER: Here is something I’d like to say to President Obama: You should have attended the NAACP convention in Houston today. Mitt Romney did. It was the right thing to do. The Republican knows the nation’s oldest civil-rights group isn’t exactly friendly turf but went anyway. On the whole, got a polite reception, but was booed when he said this:

ROMNEY [from videotape]: “I’m going to eliminate every nonessential expensive program I can find, that includes Obamacare.”

BLITZERespite the boos, it was a smart political move for Mitt Romney to address the NAACP. He knows he is not going to win over a lot of black voters, but attending these kinds of events is important in reassuring a lot of the suburban white voters that he is a moderate, decent politician, someone that wants to work with all Americans.
Wolf Blitzer Blasts Obama's NAACP No-Show - YouTube

Mitt Romney just made Obama look like a wuss and wasn't afraid to expect boos. Obama figured Biden can take the heat instead.

There is reason why Obama skipped to attend NAACP due to scheduling conflict.

That's one way to look at it.

He also got a standing ovation at the end of the meeting.

I am trying to decide whether I should be mad at how Mitt Romney uses his money, or how Obama uses mine.

Well, the left wants me to be upset at how Mitt Romney uses his money, but not upset that Nancy Pelosi did the same thing with her investments that Mitt Romney did with his (???)

In case you're mixed up, this thread is not about Romney uses his money or how Obama's spending your tax money or Pelosi's asian investment. Feel free to create a thread to vent your frustration about that specific issue.

Yes, that's correct and this thread is about NAACP, not about Romney, Obama or Pelosi's money to spent.

I'm glad that Mitt Romney was strong enough to attend NAACP since other republicans won't attend like Paul LePage because doesn't want deal with special interest.
Paul LePage: NAACP Can 'Kiss My Butt' (VIDEO)

Thanks to Mitt Romney for attend NAACP and successfully expanded my reason to not vote him.

First, it isn't worth for you troll me and twist my word.

Your post - #13 is completely off topic because this thread isn't about politician's money to spending. You need start a new thread to discuss about money to spending.
