More polls by CBS...it's really all about the economy and jobs.

Most Important Issue in the Presidential Election
(Among registered voters)
Economy and jobs 62%
Federal budget deficit 11
Health care 9
Same-sex marriage 7
Foreign policy 4
Immigration 2

Everything else is pretty much secondary.

Agreed. So why do people assume that his same sex marriage comments will cost him the election? I think his bumbling of improving the economy is a much bigger problem for the PR machine.

Yes, and yet at the same time his "stance" may have caused a few more voters to decide not to vote for him because of that. If you look at the CBS polls you can get a bit of an idea of that happening. The only question is how much damage, if any, will be the result come election time. No doubt it's the economy and job that are at the heart of this election issue.

Well, I don't see myself voting for the same change as 2008. I believed it once, shame on them.

Look my post - #75
Gay marriage, Obama and the fierce urgency of now: Why did he do it this week?

There are some Romney supporters changed their vote to Obama after Romney's stance on gay marriage got too far.

I'm sure a sentiment shared by many more. Nothing "forward" about that.

Also, there are plenty of Christians support gay marriage.

Majority of GLBT populations in USA are Christians.
