OOOhhhh! cutteeeeee
At first I was disgusted about wild ferrets who damaged my garden. (Wild ferrets are everywhere here) They often damaged the cars because they love to bite the rubbers etc. My anger is gone when I saw them because they are tooooooooooo cuteeeeeee.... They stared me with their innocent faces.
I was rejected at first when my sons begged me to have ferrets as pet. I fall in love ferrets when I saw them at my sons's friend's house. I hold them. Their fur are toooooo softy... cute face. Most of Germans have ferrets as their pets. I feel want to have them as pet BUT we already have 17 years old cat around... We already read to learn how to bring ferrets up as my own pet... It says that ferrets will become a loving pet when you give them alot of love. I'm surprise to know that ferrets like to eat cat foods. I'm still looking for any good advantage to have them as pet but I told my sons that I can't promise that we'll have them one day. Wait & see...

I don't mind ferrets, I think they're cute. I still like them even though what I went through as a baby from one ferret, he chewed up my left pinky finger so bad and its scarred now..my mom left the ferret running around while I was asleep in the playpen and she was asleep too.. oh well

Hey Guys.. I totally love ferrets.. I would love to have one someday.. But sadly enough I have three cats and a dog to take care of anyway.. But I still can get more because im a big time animal lover.. Heheh! Has anyone seen that new movie called Along Came Polly? If you did dont you love that ferret! I thought it was hilarious that she wasnt paying attention to the ferret and it banged into a trash can because it was blind.. Poor ferret though, and she would dress him up in cute sweaters and stuff.. So cute...

We have three ferrets as pets and they're as sweet as they can be. It's fun to watch them play ... they even get along with our three dogs. When we are ready to put them back into the cage they're trained to come when we shake this rattle cuz they know the noise of the rattle means that they're going to get a treat and after we give them their treat we put them back into their cage.

Would you ban this cutie??

Her name was Cocopuff.

I guess it's the politicians who gave into hysteria and the myth that ferrets are dangerous - that's why they ban ferrets in some states like Cali. No one should get a ferret if it's only a passing fancy. A ferret deserves a lifetime commitment and love.

Noooooooooooo!!!!! NOOOOOooooo!

Thatīs cuteeeee! Is she your pet?
I saw your thread at somewhere that you have cats. Iīm not sure either itīs correct or not.
If yes, could you please tell me the story how your cat get on well with your Cocopuff?
Iīm not sure itīs okay or not because I still have cat... Iīm still learning how to handle the ferrets since we want to own ferrets one day. (I canīt promise that "we will") but I know we will...

My Uncle used to have few ferrets as a pet in Wales, UK. And I remember seeing them in outdoor cage, I was told not to touch them as they might bited me and its cute to see them curious looking!

I wish to keep Otter as a pet, its beautiful fur as people kill them for Mink fur!

In Australia, its starting to become popular to keep ferrets as a pet, and I was told it can be unpleasant smell if not care properly.

It cost about $40 Australian to buy this pet.

Because the stoopid legistaters banned them -- due to them being pests and destory crops/farm lands. Stupid.. if responsible pet ownership, then should be fine. Yes it's illegal in CA -- it's very difficult to find a willing Vet to take care of ferrets in CA. I love ferrets, and am one of the few fighting this ban.

Uh, a note to Bullymom:
Please don't touch animals at pet shops/humane society/etc It can spread diseases from animal to animal... so please respect them.

Sorry that you got bitten, sometimes animals are stressed out from all the petting, etc that they resort to biting.

Hehe thanks!

No, Cocopuff doesn't live with us - she died a few years ago before I moved to Norway. *cry*

But she did meet my sister's cat... ha ha, she had fun with the cat.. they played tag it, I think! It was a funny sight, with the cat tailing her then she chased him all around the room. I want to get two new ferrets, and train my cats to not treat them as prey. My cats can catch a bird or mice and eat them. It's great that you want ferrets and are concerned about your cats getting along with them. I think the musky smell will scare the cats. LOL! You can ask someone more knowledgeable about this...

sweetkj, keep up the good fight! you have my admiration.
