Arrow Arts & Crafts at Festival for future

Deaf & Hoh & Hearing, I have an idea for Festival. Do you have your own artworks, craft making, painting, jewelry, quilts, knitting and etc? If you would like to go festival to sell your items and meet with deaf, hoh and hearing people? I would like to go for my jewelry selling.

I would like to make my own thread to discuss about selling you items at festival and online. Do you have any suggest? Thank you so much!

I do the same thing but with food. It's a lot of work but well worth it once it's over....... Also, it gets very expensive when you want the best festivals. Slowly and Steady is the key.

How about Deaf Festival? Or do you prefer Deaf/Hoh/Hearing mixed? Yes, It's true about festival is expensive. I thought the festival food should not include the junk food. How about Foreign and health food at alley instead JUNK and Grease?

You can help with idea for future. Please let discuss here.

What about getting a booth at Deaf Expo?

As for non-Deaf events, u can look up your local paper or city magazine for info on various festivals and contact them about getting a booth.

I have never experienced selling arts and crafts cuz I am not into that kind of thing. However, I would love to have a booth selling my services for interiror designing. Just need the college degree to get qualified. Too bad I dont have an extra $40,000 a year for school!

Good luck!

Be happy that we don't sell junki food. We also sell water and sodas. We sell hand held crepes.

Shel's right about contacting the festivals and asking about getting a booth. That's what I've been doing, and now the City invites us instead of the other around. I still have to keep dialin' around the area though. I placed 8 calls yesterday for the winter and spring.

Shel--why wait for a degree if you are good at what you do? Place a disclaimer stating you do not have a degree or anything. Just get out there and work with family, friends and then you will be more known through the word of mouth. Try it. I hear you about $40,000. I wanted to go to vet school but decided against another four years of college and not being strong in some key courses. Oh well BUT it's a good thing I didn't. I just watch E-Vets instead. Love that show.

You know Deaf Expo's booth cost about 50 to 200 dollar. It depend on size how big or small. You don't have to pay 40,000 for all. LoL I will figure it out about booth through internet when I have time.
