You mean like old cds that you don't need anymore? Well, I took a hammer and smashed some old cds/dvds into somewhat small to large pieces and glued the pieces into a random pattern on a boring wooden picture frame. That's just one idea...

One of my college friends took his old cd that he dont care about anymore and put it in the microwave for about 5 seconds and now it looks awesome and then he scanned it and made art out of it with photoshop. It was so awesome!!!
