To RPG lovers
To all RPG lovers: When you have a hard time beating a boss like let's say the 3rd boss, do you increase a few levels to get stronger and then beat the 3rd boss or do you increase all the way to level 99 even it takes FOREVER to do and then beat the 3rd boss? As for me, on all role playing games, I increase all my characters to level 99 even it takes forever but I am a patient guy but my friends think I am crazy for doing it but I didn't care! What about you?

Umm... is this for all RPG games or a particular RPG game you didn't mention?
I know that some RPG games don't go to level 99.

I've played a few rpg games and I'm much more interested in beating other players in combat than beating the bosses in the game. I'll get up to max level in game so I can beat others in combat.
I had a difficult time getting gear for PvP in two games because it required me to find people to help me beat the bosses in the game for the gear that I needed to be competive vs other people. Oh, they'd have helped. I just hated to ask for help.

Sometimes, it's hard to know who to trust. I have a friend who played WoW. He got very far in the game, but there were several quests that required the help of others... such as a team. So, he would try looking for people who were willing to join him on these quests. 1 out of 10 times, he would end up with at least 1 person who would back out suddenly and screw everyone over. Because of that, he would get very picky and do research before deciding who can join him. ![]()

I've watched a friend play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. He will play through the game, but spent 75% of his time working on upgrading his character. When I came over to visit him one night, he was playing that game. I looked at his character and it seemed like he didn't have much. He also had only completed a few quests and had A LOT to go. Since I was there, he decided to show me what a typical quest looked like. So, he went on his next quest. Boy... I was amazed how he went through that quest so easily! He upgraded his sneaking and lock-picking skills to a point that he could pick just about any lock (no matter how hard it was) and could sneak up on anyone. He even had enough power to see in the dark, while others couldn't see him. I asked him why it was so easy. He said he spent most of his free time upgrading his character. SWEET!

If I play FF7 or any other FF games, i like to try to beat the boss at the current level and use thinking strategies on how to beat the boss and see if I can get by. If not, I just build up few more levels. I think going to Level 99 first before doing the "third boss" is a waste, and all the time you spend on building to level 99, takes out all the fun throughout the games.

I remember a friend telling me about Star Wars Galaxies or whatever the game was. He said that at a certain level, a person becomes a Jedi or a Sith... but still continues to get better. Like the movie, following the path of the Dark Side makes you a Sith faster... and following the path of the Good makes you a Jedi slowly. However, as a Jedi... you can become much stronger.
Strangely... when you become a Jedi, the whole community is aware of it... and when you become a Sith, no one knows about it. Interesting.
