List all known games for PS2, xbox and GCN with either CC or subtitles

I had been thinking all day while playing Shenmue 2 on my xbox last night with CC on. It reminds me that I had been always checking empty cases in order to retrieve the manual to check for subtitles/CC every time I buy a game at GameStop, EBGames, and GameHaven (the local game shop in Knoxville). So I'm setting this thread to list games for all platforms that has either CC or subtitles in their cut-scenes to save us deafies $ and time when buying a game expecting subtitles/CC only to find out there is none. Plus by looking at the list we can know which developer/publisher is more Deafie-friendly or not.

Here list of known games with CC/subtitles: (developer/publisher)
1) Grand Theft Auto 3/Vice City (Rockstar North/Rockstar) -PS2
2) Shenmue 2 (Sega AM-2/Sega) Xbox
3) Onimusha/Onimusha2/Genma Onimusha (Capcom/Capcom) PS2/Xbox-Genma Onimusha only
4) Stuntman (Reflections Interactive/Infogrames) PS2
5) Devil May Cry (Capcom/Capcom) PS2 -partial scenes only
6) Metal Gear Solid 2/Substance (Konami/Konami) PS2/Xbox

This is as far as I know. y'all can add more to the list but u must include the developer/publisher in the listing -it can be found in the back of the game case or in the instruction book.

One of the most trusted developer/publisher is Nintendo. I don't know if there are any Nintendo games without subtitles, but I have to say that every game from Nintendo I've played are subtitled.

Of course, I've played games without subtitles... and sometimes it ruin the experience.

I noticed that a lot of games from Capcom aren't subtitled. What a shame!

Steel, it's like this:

"To whom it may concern,

I am to inform you that there are many hearing impaired video gamers who would be interested for game title, "Resident Evil 4," to include a visual display of what would be spoken to achieve a maximum enjoyment.

I encourage you to develop this game to include subtitles for their sakes. I think it is a win situtation for you when you think about how much revenues you would further gain by luring hearing impaired players to purchase your popular future release.

Thank you for your time,
SilenceGold"

Mailed.

Wouldn't you be better off listing games that do NOT have subtitles? There are a lot more games that have subtitles than those without subtitles. Also, we're more likely to forget which games have subtitles and more likely to remember games without subtitles.

hmmmmmm I think ur right vampyro. While I was making the list it took me long to remember which games I had with the subtitles than ones that DONT have them.

but IMO listing the ones with subtitles will HELP a lot when buying or renting games since the publishers NEVER indicate if there are any subtitles on the game packages. I hate to waste time at the EBGames or GameStop opening the empty cases in order to check the game manual for clues to subtitles.

hey subtitles are VERY fuckin' important! you wouldn't like me when i'm angry...you REALLY wouldn't like me when i'm angry...

it sound like you were insulting the deafies to just play the game without subtitles and we NEED subtitles so we would REALLY understand what is going on in the game!

perfect example for: Metal Gear Solid 2

if it was NEVER subtitled, it wouldn't actually be sold more than 2.4 million copies in one year

13) The Getaway (Team Soho/Sony CEA) PS2

Oh, I really hated that game because I understood nothing at the time.

Probably because it didn't have subtitles.

$80 was a lot for that game on DVD. :/
