RF is only understandable for last gen players still playing their PS2 or XBOX. Playing a 360 with RF is pretty close to what I would call a joke. I had the experience and opportunity to play with a RF connection recently, and the difference is huge.

I last used RF with the NES.
I last used composite with the Playstation. I last used S-Video with the Dreamcast, Playstation 2 and Gamecube. I started using component with the X-Box and it's carried over to the X360. I'm simply amazed that they are still wasting resources in manufacturing RF cables for the X360. This is Ripley's Believe It Or Not material!

PS3 + RF = A Joke!
XBOX 360 + RF = A Joke! Wii + RF = Just a bit... XBox + RF = Yea...a bit... PS2 + RF = Just a bit... PSOne + RF = Not too much... Nintendo 64 + RF = It's okay... SNES + RF = It's fine. NES + RF = It's fine. PS3 + Composite = A Joke! XBOX 360 + Composite = A Joke! Wii + Composite = It's okay. XBOX + Composite = Not too much... PS2 + Composite = Better than RF. PSOne + Composite = Better than RF. Nintendo 64 + Composite = Better than RF. SNES + Composite = Better than RF. NES + Composite = Better than RF. PS3 + S-Video = A Joke! XBOX 360 + S-Video = A bit of a joke... Wii + S-Video = Better, but defeats the purpose of Extended Definition. XBOX + S-Video = Better than composite. PS2 + S-Video = Better than composite. PSOne + S-Video = Better than composite. Nintendo 64 + S-Video = Better than composite. SNES + S-Video = Not available. NES + S-Video = Not available. PS3 + Y-Pb-Pr XBOX 360 + Y-Pb-Pr Wii + Y-Pb-Pr XBOX + Y-Pb-Pr PS3 + Y-Pb-Pr --- The rest of the consoles don't support Y-Pb-Pr VGA, DVI, and HDMI provides the best, but I think VGA is between S-Video and component but can't be sure. Keep in mind--not many of the console buyers have an HDTV.

For composite, Banjo said it's good on PS3, unlike 360 does.

For 480p, that require to have component cable to capture 480p since compsosite is maximum at 480i. HDMI is great as component but component cannot goes capture 1080p and maximum at 1080i, also HDMI is great to capture 1080p.

Though it look absolutely breathtaking over the HDMI cable. 'Fight Night: Round 3' looked amazing and quite realistic in 720p. Blu-Ray movies looks sensational in 1080i/p. It's just amazing what a difference each resolution makes. |

Thanks! Interesting. I have not hook up composite to 480i. Oh well, I really don't need to do that. Yeah about HDMI blew me away with 1080p with blu-ray and my sony hdtv 1080p. Amazing picture. |

I read on Banjo's blog and showed pictures of a movie he was watching "alien vs. predator" and showed the comparison between dvd and blu-ray so obviously blu-ray has killed the dvd into many pieces cause of better picture lol
