They think monitor.. They forgot about computers does support 1920 x 1080. It is nothing to do with monitor. It is just computers.

Where did you click on monitor or computer???
Display properties, where it comes from? Computer. Not monitor.

Yea, Steel found it from display setting since he's using monitor via VGA cable.

I need to update xbox 360 in next 1-2 weeks but not pre-loaded yet.

Computer monitor is same thing as monitor... Steel found it from display setting about "1920 x 1080" on monitor via VGA cable. Not HDTV...

Edit... Computer monitor or just short word for monitor... Look like that...

Go google "widescreen monitor" then that what I found it.
Widescreen

It wasn't HDTV because no tv tuner.

It called computer monitor, monitor, LCD display or whatever since all of them are same word.

Now, I'm fucking confused what you said monitor, widescreen monitor, computer monitor, LCD display or whatever and I always called monitor, that what I said about word.
Monitors & Projectors

VGA cable from MS is designed for HD from 640x480 to 1920 x 1080 on monitor and other stuff (that you mentioned) on HDTV.

I don't care about spec, it was for PC case.

Yes, it can be confusing. HDTV can be monitor? I dislike it because it can be confusing. When i say monitor and people think that I have CRT monitor. I like to say HDTV or LCD display instead monitor. If you said monitor, and i can picture you mean CRT monitor. Or other thing, you can said widescreen. I assume you mean hdtv. IT still can be confusing. Widescreen will go to hdtv or lcd display. New lcd widescreen display can be hdtv like Dell 2407. Whatever you like to say it monitor is fine to you. It can be confusing to others.

Brand new monitors starting to have hd supported like Dell 2407.

Most monitors are not supported by 1920 x 1080.

It is not from pc case. It is monitor spec. When you are ready to buy hdtv or monitor. You have to check spec to make sure if monitor or hdtv does support over 1920 x 1080.

I am suprised about Dell 2407, and i think that Defmatrixense had one. I am not sure. Only one that support HDTV. Steel X might have one too.

That's all that you need to know.

Good night!

Yes, he told me that he had Dell LCD. Not sure, which model number like 2407. I do remember he told me 24 inches. It is possible that he should have 2407.

Please I do know about it. I hold five computer certifications.

Yes, it often like this many times. Yes, that is why it needs widescreen or big screen like over 24 inches or more.

720p and 1080i still great picture that you set up thru VGA.

If you want HD support, better be sure it's minimum of 1280x720 which is 720p. Many xbox games that are programmed to scale at different HD resolutions will work at like 720p, 1080i, 1080p for example. The monitors that support 1920x1080 minimum are kind of expensive for many people. The Dell 24" LCD does 1920x1200 and it costs about 700 dollars. Not too many teenagers who are gamers can chip out that much money.

Edit: My Dell 20" widescreen LCD only can do max of 1650x1080 and it's not likely it will do 1080i/p, but more likely to do 720p.

Yeah, I did not know what you have after pacman said starlogic. So I looked up on starlogic and see if it does have 1920 x 1080. It does not.

I do know older monitors does not support.

I am sure new monitors will make in 1920 x 1080. This is really exciting for pc & xbox gamers can use that highest quality monitor just like Dell 2407.

It is probably why Microsoft making that kind of update for 1080p for new lcd widescreen display. Of course, HDTV too.

Aye I set mine at 1280x1024 on my full 19' monitor and looks pretty good but on orginal xbox games, it looks really bad so I set it to about 800x600 or so on VGA to put it back in 480i or something and it looks alot better so yeah its weird.

Yes, that is right. 720p and 1080i still good enough for HD.

I looked my Samsung 940MW multifunction combination LCD HDTV/computer monitor's specs.... sjones already informed me it aint 1080p supported by Samsung since the 1080p format is new and I agree with him.

If I put it on comp/HDAV cables the most I can get is 1080i and 720p. Max resolution on VGA/DVI is 1440x900

M$ should not only have put ou HDMI cables but DVI ones too since mine doesnt have HDMI.

When I was shopping for the LCD HDTV, all I cared was the response times at < 10ms or less. I just didnt give a damn if it could run on 720p, 1080i, 1080p, whatever they could cook up.

And sjones is right that Samsung is partnered with M$ on the xbox360 parts. It was just a concidence that my LCD display happen to be a Sammy....
