It was 1981. Way before the NES debuted. Nintendo was a software maker before NES.

One guy told me that Cranky Kong was the real Donkey Kong in the old games before the new Donkey Kong came since Super Nes in 1994

If Donkey Kong was made by Nintendo, why did Rare control the series?

Donkey Kong was create by Nintendo.

Rare is "client" who make game for Nintendo.

Therefore, Donkey Kong is license only to Nintendo. period.
