Help!! I'm looking for an old true story movie

Have any of you seen the movie called "Walking Tall" 2004 movie with
Dwayne Johnson, it's based on true story of one man stands up for what's right. A friend of mine told me there's another movie like this one which was made in the 70's, Does anyone know the name of that movie and if that movie has closed caption for the deaf and hearing impaired?

I can't find it at the local video store, if anyone knows the name of the movie and the actor in that movie please let me know.. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, it was released in 1973. Joe Don Baker played the role of Buford Pusser. There were some sequels made for it too as well, not only to mention a short-lived TV series in the early 80s.

It's called, "Walking Tall" just like the remake.

It is available on DVD from Paramount, so it should be subtitled in English and Closed Captioned.

Amazon.com: Walking Tall: DVD: Joe Don Baker,Elizabeth Hartman,Gene Evans,Noah Beery Jr.,Brenda Benet,John Brascia,Bruce Glover,Arch Johnson,Felton Perry,Richard X. Slattery,Rosemary Murphy,Lynn Borden,Ed Call,Sidney Clute,Douglas Fowley,Don Keefer,S

Definitely a great movie, seen all of 'em, even the short-lived series. The original is by far the best one. Well worth the time to watch this true story.

It was so sad and shocking when he died the year after the movie came out.

Wasn't he (Buford Pusser) the guy who carried around a club wherever he went?

It was a piece of thick wood by making it a baseball bat, that's him.
