For someone who saw Superman Returns: Discuss!

After saw the movie.....

I notice some scene are similar from Superman 1 that Superman save govt airplane: Original is Air Force One and new is NASA (the new has frickin awesome action!)

5 years is awful long trip to see Kal-El's dead planet and then come back home to Earth. That mean, the speed on ship take 2 and half light year to travel.

Notice 5 years ago, standard ugly TV from Superman II turn into nice LCD
TV at Daily Planet in Return. Wow! Technology went so fast, huh?

I don't understand how Superman's son get that kind power after he lose power when he want to have sex with Lois. Oh, for a thoughtful, it's like RAPE! Because Superman kiss Lois at end scene on Superman II to erase Lois' memory to know who Superman's identify. Irony, isn't it?

I have seen Superman Returns on Open Caption last night. The storyline deffy looked more like connected to the first 2 Christopher Reeve movies. But the ending...hmmmm form your own opinion as Im not gonna give away spoilers but its deffy had me puzzled for quite a while.

Brandon Routh does Superman really good. But then Id rank him 2nd to Christopher Reeve. The new Lois? I liked the old one better.

and oh the plane incident in Superman Returns is waay more action than the first movie.

I forgot to mention that I discovered the dying woman in the opening scene with Lex Luthor was actually the actress who played the first Lois Lane! When I reviewed the opening credits in my mind after leaving the theater, a few names popped in my mind esp the dying woman and the bartender. Both actors were in the original Superman TV show (with George Reeves as Superman)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superma...ack-references

Quote:
Bo the Bartender, who serves Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen just prior to the airplane crisis, was played by Jack Larson, the original Jimmy Olsen of The Adventures of Superman series. Larson also appeared as a temporarily aged Jimmy in an episode of the Lois and Clark TV series. After Superman's rescue of the plane, one of the scenes of people celebrating include Larson hugging his current successor to the Jimmy Olsen role, Sam Huntington.
Note: According to Daniel Wallace's Superman Returns: The Visual Guide, Bo's full name is Bo "Bibbo" Bibbowski. Bibbo is the bartender and supporting character from the modern Superman comic books.
Gertrude Vanderworth, the old woman whom Luthor cons to gain her fortune, was played by Noel Neill, who was the first live-action Lois Lane (in the 1948 and 1950 Superman movie serials) and the second actress to portray Lane in the 1950s televison series The Adventures of Superman. She has had cameo appearances in two other live-action Superman projects; as a young Lois Lane's mother in Superman: The Movie, and as a Daily Planet employee in the live-action Superboy TV series alongside former Adventures costar Jack Larson.
Also I found out there is another Superman-related movie coming out this fall "Hollywoodland" that details the death of the second Superman, George Reeves. Some say he died by suicide, some say he was murdered. Ben Affleck will be playing George Reeves with the possibility of showing him in the Superman costume. The trailer for the movie is also shown before the Superman Returns movie.

Fine, I'll spoil.... The end scene is much similar to all Superman' ending, too. The new have much nice visual than the classic.

I was surprise that Superman decide to hold wing in first place. He should hold the nose to decrease speed of fall. :-/

Superman Returns comes out on dvd november 28th.

Also, in memory of Christopher Reeve, there will be a complete Superman collection starring Christopher Reeve in one pack and comes out the same day as well.
