United 93 Film

This weekend, they are showing United 93 in open captions.

I dont know if I am ready to watch a such heart-breaking movie.

Do you have any guts to watch this movie?

I watched a documentary on these people who narrowly missed the flight. A guy was supposed to go on a trip with his uncle in Yosemite but he had to change his mind the day before the flight. He said that he will never overcome his guilt by not being with his uncle. A man who flies to San Francisco every week missed his flight as he had to take his daughter to school on her first day of kindergarten - he decided to miss that flight and take an hour later flight out of Newark.

It was heart-breaking enough so I dont think I can stomach watching United 93 but I have to say kudos to these brave passengers on that flight. Their courage must never be forgotten.

My brother saw the movie recently and he said a lot of people were crying at the theater. I might go see it over the weekend.

i did watched the movie United 93 on IFC on satellite.. it was so sad to watch that movie.. but this movie that is out at movie theatre im sure is sad .. i prolly would like to see it to see if theres difference between two movies as i am curious. so sad i know so many stories i have read online.. but those who perished are indeed brave and knew they will die and will do anything to protect their country. gotta give them credit for that. *goosebumps* sighs..

Due to the fact that 9-11 occurred while I was going through bankruptcy, I don't want to be reminded of that fateful day. No, I will not go see the movie, neither do I attend events for 9-11 as a stark reminder.

My experience of United 93!

I would really love to watch this movie with subtitles. I am a hearing person (!) but a non native speaker of English, so the first part of the movie was so difficult to understand with all the "electronic-contol tower" jargon. Plus, the movie was directed in a non-conventional way, with no main characters and a coherent plot it was more realistic. It seemed to me a bit dull to tell you the truth.
The second part of the movie though, was very shoching indeed. The very fact that the events were depicted in a detached and realistic way, made it more dramatic and interesting. I don't know on the othrr hand, if the story was truthful to what really happened...
