Grand Palace of Thailand

i get Grand Palace pic of thailand that's very beautiful and Good culture do you been visit to thailand before? if you never know about it can youre read about Grand Palace let youre know now

When King Rama I came to the throne in 1782, he chose a plot of land on the east bank of chao Phraya River , which had originally been occupied by army camp,Phraya Chodeuk’s family and Chinese immigrants ,to found the new capital and relocate them to a new settlement located around the canals of Wat Sam Preum and Wat Sam Pheng. Following the tradition of Ayutthaya Royal Palace, the Bangkok Grand Palace was built to face north on the bank with the Chao Chraya River running on the left. The palace was of wooden structure except the concrete Ordination Hall of the Emerald Buddha. Other concrete fortresses and throne halls were later built in the reign of king Rama III .

Since its establishment the Grand Palace had served as royal residence for previous eight kings of the Chakri Dynasty until the reign of King Rama IX .During the period, it was constantly restored and added with various audience halls and palaces, such as the Dusit Maha Phasat, Phiman Rattaya ,Chakraphat Phiman Phaisan Taksin,Amarrintrawinitchai and Borompiman.

Interesting about Thailand and its history...

If one of us decides to visit Thailand, would we be safe from the militant groups? How is Thailand's government with the deaf community?

My very first on-line friend Ash-Pornsook or something like that is from Thailand. I first met her on the old Excite chat site in the mid-1990. She was a very nice girl, I enjoyed getting to know her on-line! I often wonder about her and would love to hear from her again! I have some of her E-mail addresses and ICQ number - I don't know if she is still around.
