Trip to Los Angeles in November!!

Has anyone been there? I'll be there for about a week and I'm REALLY excited. I already know a few things I'm going to do:

- SHOP! I'm an 18 year old girl, what do you expect?!
- Drive to the Santa Monica Pier - I've heard it's beautiful.
- Hollywood Walk Of Fame (to see Marlee Matlin's star, of course. See screen name )
- I'm also going to see the Ellen DeGeneres Show!

More suggestions?

I've been to:
Universal Studio (Bring someone who's intrepreter for the live show and ride the tram around the studio include Universal citywalk too)
Six Flags at Magic Mountain (More for young crowd people and some family too) or
Disneyland-California Adventure Park. If in November, they have early christmas light shows, I think)

L.A. Zoo

Griffith Park observarty (Science Center)

Hollywood (Again, Bring someone with you, it's crowded people and seeing a lot of Hall Fame Walks)

Venice Beach Boardwalk (They have some interesting things and some perfomance show on Boardwalk)

Santa Monica Pier and At Third Promenade, A lot of store like H&M store clothing.

Getty Museum at I think near Brentwood (I'm not sure)

Intolerance Museum near Santa Monica Beach

In City for Sightseeing:
Hollywood
Orange County
Long Beach
San Diego

I tried to remember what else. I guess that's about it.

Enjoy the trip to Los Angeles in November.

Peace

Yeah, I told my friends that "I will be the one holding the sign that says 'If you're a celebrity, come talk to me.'" I'm really excited. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

a couple hotspots that i didn't see on the list... Hollywoodland (nice little town/area at the base of the hill where the Hollywood Sign is... and yes you can hike up to the sign which I would highly recommend) Would also recommend a trip down PCH. The scenery is outright awesome, you will see all different varieties of people and the coastline is just killer! Then, of course, if your into the cultural sights and make it south far enough, there is San Juan Capistrano which is always a nice glimpse into the past of the Spanish Mission era.
I wouldn't expect to see a whole bunch of stars and stuff in Hollywood though. While it does occasionally happen, it is not as common as most people think (although I did see Michael Moore in Hollywoodland, and Malibu does have its fair share of famous residents)
Anyhow, enjoy your vacation! LA is a pretty fun place to visit. Just make sure you stay safe, always have a friend with you, all that fun stuff
Cheers,
J

Anyone forget about Venice beach?

So have fun in Los Angeles! I am jealous! LOL! I wanna go back for visit and see my family there.

Are ya renting a car? FYI I think their policy for rental car is over 25 years old, I am not sure. You might want to check that out first.

I also have been to the Santa Monica beach.... on my third time, when my family and I went for a walk, I was sick that day, and eventually vomited on the footpath...Oops.

most companies will allow you to rent a car if you are under 25, but they will charge a premium for it, supposedly coz of the extra insurance.

Who are you going with, and what are you main intentions to do?
I think it's better to know what kind of person you are before giving random advice that you might end up hating .

Yagazn has got down most of the general attractions that are not the stuff that gets listed on websites and tour guides. Getty Museum is indeed in brentwood, but most of us forget the city and just get off the 405 to think of it as its own place!

Yup, I don't agree with some part of wiki that wrote about trip to LA, I had been in Canoga Park and it's not bad area but some part could be rough like in Van Nuys but more safe than in South LA.

maybe try to see the Petersen Automotive Museum
or

Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary
1218 Glendon Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90024 (310) 474-1579
Quote:
Tucked quietly behind Wilshire Boulevard, this park and cemetery is the final resting place for many of Hollywood's former elite—Marilyn Monroe, Roy Orbison, Burt Lancaster, Eva Gabor, and Truman Capote, to name a few. The park is a memorial for hundreds of famous musicians, actors, and producers. Marked by rose bouquets and potted plants are the gravestones of West Side Story's Natalie Wood and Oscar-winning actress Donna Reed.
