There is no event in D.C but I will be around on that day, I am unavailable on saturday night, 23rd due to that I am going to watch the hockey game with the family that I am staying with.

there's a good deaf community where i am, and there's a lot of people our age, including ASL students.. but it's nowhere near the area you wanna stay around in!

Yeah, DC area traffic are less heavy than NYC. Travel expense is cheaper in DC than NYC. Traffic congestion in NYC is worse each weekend when I had been there last few years ago. Expensive parking lots and expensive hotels. DC is quieter than NYC. But no AD'ers will meet him in somewhere (pub bar).

besides, this - I got an email from Delta airlines, that my international flight has been moved, affecting my flight to portland!
