when is Frederick DPHH?

Usually the 2nd weekend of the month so he will miss that one even if it gets pushed to the 3rd weekend of the month. Besides he said he wants to go to deaf events where there will be people in his age group. My brother goes to Frederick DPHH as he lives there and he said most of the people are 40 and above.

I just hope Baltimore dphh will get pushed to the 4th Friday of the month.

it doesnt matter if I miss the event, I'd like to meet as many deafies regardless if It was in my age group - such as you guys on alldeaf.com but there is always an alternative arrangement, is there?

I went through my old family photos when we all went to the USA back in '99, it brings back old memories and these places I have been there in the D.C, and that photo where I stood before the white house, and I most certainly will take the SAME photo...11 years later.

I had a discussion with my parents and they are happy that I can go, so we discussed few things, such as I should stay one night after flying back to LAX from New York, and I agreed with them, I should leave NY a day (or two) early and chill in LAX for a day or two before heading back to Sydney.

Update: I am in the middle of consulting with my travel agent recommended by my father. The agent will help me find affordable international flights, which I will pay for it as soon as possible to be booked in advance and I have been researching a lot lately, and find these resources interesting. Does anyone have any travel tips for the USA that you think I should know? Please step forward!

Today I just paid for the international flilght. I am flying with United Airlines to USA.

The dates are comfirmed. It will be 19th January 2010 until the 2nd of Febuary 2010!

Chevy57, I can not land into BWI, I have been advised from my family friend via email that it is not recommended, I was pointed to IAD or RCA (Reagan National Airport). I will talk to you on VP later about the domestic flight arrangements.

Keep throwing me suggestions here... I'd love to see some. Also, keep this thread an eye when I post up my whereabouts, so some of you could end up planning to meet me at these specific cities! Any issues you want to find out from me, that you'd rather not to mention in here, you are more than free to PM me at anytime.

Well, take that United Airlines off then, I changed flights suddenly because my agent has advised me that my ticket was cancelled there, so fuck it. The agent gave me alternative option to fly with Delta Airlines instead.

Sure, mate. You can fly to IAD or RCA, either.

Nah, a little more expensive but I was told not to pay extra, the agent took care of it. I have the e-ticket now

So does this mean you are flying from SYD to LAX, then ATL to DCA, is that right?

No, LAX to PDX, PDX to IAD (or RCA) train to NYC. JFk to LAX.

RCA (Reagan National Airport) one-way fare price is cheaper than IAD. Save $50. I will discuss with you later.

That's right, I don't want to wait any longer, I want to go on another vacation to meet my dear deaf friends from alldeaf.com and a family friend of mine (with my mum) so I have decided to visit Washington D.C, New York (Yes, that's right, New York -- there is so many many things to see there!) and one unknown city.

During my trip, I would LOVE to have my ASL skills in full use of my whole trip, and meet as many deaf people as I can esp in my age group, and many deaf events I'd love to have fun participating.

In what I have stated above, I would love to hear anyone of you on this very forum to throw any suggested city I'd visit for my third stop... it only must be in the North eastern area of the United States of America... (for now)...and throw me any deaf events that you think I'd check out and whatever you think that is worth for my visit. Throw whatever you please!
I live in NY..not the city. It's okay. I live in a small town which is in the middle of nowhere so I haven't really experienced that much since everything is a half hour away. Well, not everything, but you know.

If you're actually going to NYC, there'd be tons of stuff there. And you can always go to an amusement park. Darien Lake is the best!

But he will have his trip on January 2010. Amusement Park will be closed due to winter.

I will be in LAX briefly on the first day because I will be changing planes there but on the way back on the first feb, will be staying overnight in Los Angeles! For these people who lives in or outside the LA area can meet for an AD meet on the day of 2nd Feb before I head out back to Sydney on that night at little after 10pm (but need to be in LAX few hours before though). OB is there an possibility of this in the morning of that day, no?

Congrats on your ticket purchase to the USA again.

You will be leaving the US on Groundhogs Day!

So do you have any Idea on a set plan? Seems like you have a busy schedule ahead. 6 months is a lot of time to plan.

Have fun, Jake.

Unfortunately news, your trip would likely to be EPIC FAIL.

Just messing with you and welcome to US.
