Nope, it's not too far. If it's on the weekends, I'm good to come but if it's on the weekdays...I won't be able to come due to work. Though, I can't predict what happens in Jan though. It's about 3 hour drive from Seattle to Portland on a good day, if not speeding lol.

For these AD'ers in the northeastern area, such as Washington D.C and New York. This is a opportunity for you to find out if you have the time to meet me, at a local starbucks too. I will find more information from a deaf local. For new Yorkers - it will be the same in New York City. I am hopefully be staying at Jiro's place, if he permits it (I have spoken to him, he will let me know though) . During my stay in Washington D.C, I will be staying at my mum's friend's place in Northern VA -- I have been told that their house is not far from the train station and very easy to use so that is good news.

Sequioas, I hope to see some snow in washington D.C!
yes you are free to welcome to sleep over at my place - assuming I am moving to NYC apartment in couple months - possibly by September. If not..... well.... sorry

We get those kinds of snowstorms maybe one or twice a season. People who grew up here said that 20 or so years ago, DC would get lots of snow and that nowadays, it is rare. I was bummed cuz when I first moved here, I was ready for blizzards and stuff but in the 10 years, there was only one serious storm..the President's Day Storm of 2004. About 12 inches of snow. Other than that, no more than 5 inches at a time and like I said before, maybe one or twice a season.

Maybe this year, we will get a blizzard just for u! People tell me we are long overdue for one.

If there are going to be a few ADers who will meet Jake in NYC, maybe I can arrange a bus trip to NYC myself and meet everyone too. Just give me the word.

I don't mind going down to NYC but that would be depend on when....my son have school, and cannot miss it. But for Friday, he can skip one day. We would take Amtrak and relax on the train....we'll see when the time get near by then we'll decide from there... And it'll be nice to meet few other ADers as well!!

Jacob can you make plans to go to Texas or Arkansas? I might be able to arrange a flight down there from Ft. Smith Regional. But I have never been to Dallas so I would prefer to make these arrangements with someone who is knowledgeable of the city.

Sadly, I won't be anywhere near the southeast or southwest, but if you are keen to meet me, you can either meet me in OR, Washington D.C or NYC - Up to you, your call.

Jake will miss DC dphh but I am hoping that because Jan 1st falls on a Friday, DC dphh will be on the 2nd Friday of Jan in which will cause Baltimore dphh to be on the 4th Friday of Jan instead of the third. That would be perfect cuz Jake will be here. If it falls on the 3rd Friday, as usual, then Jake will miss that one also. I looked up the BDPHH website...the schedule for 2010 isnt out yet.
