yea definitely a train. I know what you're talking about. I've been there when I returned home from Virginia. It's a nice area.

yes - METRO. But MARC Train covers WV + PA + DC. METRO is for Maryland, VA, and DC. Both will work for you depending on where your relative family lives.

Seattle is a great city. Or you could visit one of the cities in California?

It might be hard to find a train route to and from WVA. Gosh, even the Marc to Frederick, MD from Baltimore and DC is very very limited.

Ok, that's about 10 miles southwest of DC. There are metro stations near that town. It is not in West VA..it is in Northern VA. The closest station I believe is West Falls Church Station...

Metro - Rail - West Falls Church-VT/UVA

To be honest with you, Phillips. I was looking forward to see the snow when I was in washington D.C but in the end, I was quite disappointed I didnt get to see the snow, sadly. :/ So I want to grab the opportunity to see it if I get the chance when I return.

It is rare to snow in DC...we only had one event that left us with significant snow and it was on March 1st!

If you wanna see SNOW, go to the West US mountains like the NW or in the Rockies. The snow usually always there in the winter time.

Since you said you'll be coming in Jan, we need to arrange a time for everyone to come social with you in Portland. Wish you come visit Seattle, it's worth visiting. Yea, but time is short anyway.

For these Ad'ers who is very keen to meet me in person, this is a rare opportunity for you all to find out if you would have the time to meet!

ADers from the west coast, I will be flying in LAX upon arrival, and change flights to PDX in Portland, if you want to come and meet, I will arrange a meet one night or whatever at some local starbucks.

For these AD'ers in the northeastern area, such as Washington D.C and New York. This is a opportunity for you to find out if you have the time to meet me, at a local starbucks too. I will find more information from a deaf local. For new Yorkers - it will be the same in New York City. I am hopefully be staying at Jiro's place, if he permits it (I have spoken to him, he will let me know though) . During my stay in Washington D.C, I will be staying at my mum's friend's place in Northern VA -- I have been told that their house is not far from the train station and very easy to use so that is good news.

Sequioas, I hope to see some snow in washington D.C!
