Shooting death of tourist in N. Korea

I'm shocked that they would shoot a tourist but even more shocked that North Korea even has tourists!

One Korean wrote, "Where in the world would a soldier fire on a helpless female tourist for crossing into a restricted zone near a hotel at a tourist site?"

I want to know, why was a tourist hotel situated next to a military restricted zone?

This is one weird story.

I don't get the attraction of going there. Not only is it meant to be extremely expensive and a long wait, but there's not much to see, I'd guess. Why not go to South Korea, or for that money, Tokyo Disneyland?

I've been busy in real world lately, and didn't have time to read the news until now.

I noticed the link is 4 month old, so I went through search engine to read an article. That was bummed she was shot to death.
