Smile Try to explore Vietnam, the hidden charm!

Hi all,

My name is Dung. I live in Saigon, South Vietnam. I am the only HOH in a family of 5. I was born hearing till I was 5 years old when I got a very bad fever which damaged my both ears badly.

Although it was very hard for me to study at schools for the hearing (there was no school for the deaf & HOH then), I managed to finish university about biotechnology in 2005.

Then I had to face with the difficulty of finding a job because people are not patient enough with my HOH. I continued to study graphic and designing on computer to hope to find a job more easily. I did many jobs such as delivering advertisement leaflets to passengers, storing data on computer for a company, designing houses on computer for another company etc. But I did not enjoy the job because I could not do them well due to my HOH.

Recently I found a job at a travel company which I like it very much because it gives me chance to travel and work with deaf people. My company arranges tours in Vietnam for the deaf and HOH in IS (international sign) and ASL by Vietnamese deaf guides.

By doing these tours, we hope to arrange safe and enjoyable tours for international deaf travelers and to offer jobs to Vietnamese deaf people. Our tours focus on pleasing the deaf people’s strong senses of sight, taste and feeling, including beautiful visual sites, interesting shows and rides; offering delicious Vietnamese food and specialties, special treatments of massage and mud bath, visits to working places and schools of Vietnamese deaf people or disable people.

Now let me introduce some pics about Vietnam and my Vietnam-deaf-guide group.

Cheers,

Dung

As Ms. Dung's avatar shows, Saigon is now Ho Chi Minh City, and there is no more South Vietnam. It is an occupied city. The photos are breathtaking, but the same posts in at least two other sites have turned out to be spam rather than a deafie reaching out to others.

Hi! Chase!
Thank for you advice! I've just got new job in a travel agent in a part as marketing for Deaf tours in Vietnam. So I have not more experiment in introducing for all the Deaf in the World, ex introduce via forums, emails...so some deaf forums think that I am a spammer, I'm very sad. But I have to try mybest to help my Vietnam deaf friends have a good job as deaf guide in Vietnam. Thank you again! I'm glad to have your reply!

To Byrdie714: Thank you for adding a little advice!

To Pacman: I think that every country has specific landscapes, so more people want to travel more country in the world to enjoy more various landscapes. Is that right?

Thank all friend had replied my topic!
See you again!

To pinky: thank for your praise. I don't research about China's design, so I can't answer for your question. But I think they have some same and other different.
How do you design your pics in your signature? It looks very pretty and subtle!

I think Viet Nam is the correct terms, but sometimes someone spelled it was Vietnam. It is OK, no matter! You are warm welcome to Vietnam. When you think that you can arrive in Vietnam? I'm very happy if I can help you for your trip in Vietnam in future? Smile

Thank for your praise! Vietnam is more and more popular in the world. Through it seem quite small, but it is really a beautiful country with more pretty landscapes and enjoyable culture...

To DeafPenPal: In my country, some Hearing people also like to learn Vietnam sign language, but it have a little same as ASL.
_ Yes, it's name "Pho Bo". In Vietnam have more kind of Pho. Ban da thu cac loai pho do chua? ( Have you eaten them? )

See all friend again!
Cheers,
Smile
